We had a great meal, great service and the best sunset ever from our seat. Don't miss the margueritas.

Breakfast burritos are amazing! I had the muchacho and a friend had the chorizo. I could only eat half. Had the other half for lunch. My husband had huevos rancheros and loved it!!

Recently visited again with family on the way to Durango. It's a Friday evening, but already 8pm. The place was not very busy, but somehow everything was super slow. 15 minutes to get seated, another 15 minutes before someone greeted us at the table, 15 minutes to place the order... Also, the beef fajita I ordered was super salty, wonder... More

Chavalos doesn't look like much from the outside, but the fresh food hits the spot. We visited Chavalos while vacationing in Pagosa Springs and decided on here because of the reviews. The service was polite, but slower than most restaurants. It was more casual. It was not bad. The food, everything from the salsa and chips to the chili rellenos... More

The second visit I had The Carnitas plate and we were both blown away by the crispy, yet, tender pork dish. This August, I was back for another week stay in Pagosa with my... More

If you're visiting from out of town, take the time to drive a few miles from the hot springs area to eat at Chavolos! Best Mexican food in Pagosa, hands down! Love the chile rellenos, but really, everything on the menu is good! Small restaurant...you may have to wait, but it's well worth it!
