Hmmm... first things first- the beer is mediocre at best. I guess you visit for the offensive décor and signage, not to mention the odd owner. Sat at the bar and felt so uncomfortable with the owner staring and saying nothing that I moved to a rocking chair. Barbie dolls on stripper poles or chained to the wall of a... More

I've been to a brewpub or two. Or a million, but really who's counting? There is one Brewery in Colorado I never miss: The Ourayle House in Ouray, Colorado. It has amazing beer. Truly wonderful, brewed with passion and a deep knowledge of the brewing arts. His beer is brewed on premises in the back room and served 22 ft... More

Not my favorite place for beer in Ouray, but not bad. My husband enjoyed his more than I did. There is no food just a bar and beer with a little patio that they share the with Maggie's which has great burgers and hand cut fries.

The beer was great, and the atmosphere had a rustic warm/inviting feeling. There are rocking chairs next to the woodstove when it gets cold out. You can get great burgers next door so with the beer/burger combo what can be better!

The Amber Ale was very good and my wife liked her IPA. Tables outside were great for people watching. The locals come here and leave their dogs with you while they go inside. I recommend having a burger from Maggie's Kitchen. It is joined to the same building, so you can eat and drink from two different businesses at the... More

With the proliferation of breweries all across the country there were bound to be some that are less than stellar, and indeed here is one. The beer is ok, but nothing special or memorable, but the attitude is special with a grumpiness meter for the bartender. Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you might want from a local brewery.

Mr. Grumpypants makes a great brew! This place was recommended to us by a Soaring Ranger. Ordered and sat down outside just in time to watch a cloudburst. It was awesome. Beer is very good. We had an IPA and a Pale Ale. With a burger from next door, it can't be beat!

Just happened to wander into this little brewery after leaving the Ouray Brewery. Stopped in just to see what they had. My husband and I somewhat consider ourselves beer snobs. This place did NOT disappoint !! I drank the Porter and he had the IPA which he claims is his favorite beer of our trip (we visited multiple breweries and... More
