This hotel & saloon was built during the height of the mining boom in 1891 and its character was the primary reason we choose to eat dinner there. While the menu wasn't huge, it did offer a good assortment of entrees. We both chose the Rocky Mountain Trout prepared Amandine style and it was the best trout we had on... More

The menu has a wide variety of choices and the prices are much more reasonable than most other restaurants in Ouray. Atmosphere is fun and the pizzas were GREAT!!

We went into this building early in the day before the restaurant opened at 4. But, we were able to look through the saloon and take pictures which was neat. It has some nice history and you're able to get some great pictures too.

My husband had the lamb burger and thought it was okay. I had a pizza and it was not good at all. One bite I got a mouth full of what seemed like baking soda. Yuck. There are better options.

Was staying at the hotel for 2 nights and decided to try the restaurant for dinner one night, sitting outside on the patio with the very nice touch of a live guitarist/vocalist (I stayed an hour after I was finished eating just to enjoy the music!). Food was very good...excellent homemade tomato basil soup and very tasty lasagna, both personal... More

Family 4 for dinner can get pricey in Ouray. This place was good and we would return if in Ouray again. The food was very good - tasty! However, the service leaved a bit to be desired and bring a jacket - it was cold! and I can see from other reviews that it just wasn't during our visit. Unique... More

We ate at this restaurant two nights in a row. The menu is not real large (a couple of steak options, a fish entree, several pastas and four sandwiches plus pizzas) but the food we had was delicious. The beer menu is extensive and offered some tasty options. The first night we both had the trout amandine which was excellent,... More

This is definitely an interesting historical hotel and saloon - http://www.historicwesternhotel.com/thehotel.html The food was excellent, a very varied menu and an attentive wait staff. However, this is not fast food. We were in no hurry so we didn't mind but each table around us had to wait quite a while for their food. I had a shawarma sandwich that was... More

Get a drink or two at the bar, and move on. The menu was alright, standard bar food. Dress warm, always a draft in the evenings.

Great place to visit. Good beer and great people. Enjoyed the food. Love Ouray! Have been going to Ouray since I was a little girl. Never get tired of it!
