My wife and I went here because we were looking for a smaller restaurant to try and this one blew us away! I got the chicken Masala and my wife got the chicken curry, along with some of their garlic naan. The food was absolutely...incredible. We had great portions and left the spot feeling full of some of the best South Asian food I’ve had. The service was very fast and our waiter was very helpful when it came time for us to choose our entrees. We will definitely be going here again the next time we’re in Montrose!More

Don't let the building exterior turn you off, the food is excellent and there is plenty of seating available. When I'm in the mood for real dumplings, this is the place I'll go when on the Western Slope.

We were too tired when we got into town to go anywhere, so we ordered to go. This is incredibly delicious food with really nice service. The only problem was I forgot to ask for silverware and we’re staying in a motel. But everything from...the vindaloo to the Tse phing to the veggie chow chow was perfect. We even had nice Indian be to wash it down. Portions are very generous!More

This is a tiny “hole in the wall” kind of place right on the highway with exceptionally good food. There’s only 20 tables at most and it’s cozy. The chicken biryani is the best I’ve ever had. Very nice servers.

We were excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews. It was the best food in town…chicken Marsala, chicken Curry and traditional naan. Sooo good. Don’t let the outside small box restaurant fool you from the outside. The chef was a delight!

You can get a burger anywhere. You cannot get this cuisine, this good anywhere but here. Not much to look at from the outside, but your tastebuds will thank you for going in. Order the Naan to soak up that lamb vindaloo or curry or...just wrap it around chicken sekuwa. It is a culinary win-win.More

The food was wonderful. Don’t let the decor discourage you. Our favorites were the Chow Chow and Vindaloo! We got the Vindaloo with lamb. It was spicy. The service was very good. We also enjoyed Momo. You gotta try this place!

Don’t be fooled by exterior- this place has the best food. I wanted to try everything on the menu. The naan was so good. We tried 2 new Himalayan dishes and loved them. Highly recommend this place.

What a treat! Ignore all the whiners about no buffet. The food was lovingly and deliciously prepared by Nepalese mom and dad, served by their son. I can see why previous posters drive from Grand Junction to eat here. We started with the chicken dumplings....So fresh with depth of flavor and not gummy. Followed by curry, saag, and the best Naan I've ever had. I'd drive from Grand Junction just for the Naan. Did I mention the giant glass of wine? No skimpy glass for the road warriors. Will put this on the road trip detour list.More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Utah. And we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The dishes we had were wonderful and the quantities were ample. The decor is dated, however this is not really...a concern. Note that parking on site is limited so one may need to park along the street side.More

We were lured into this Himalayan restaurant by a large sign outside announcing their lunch buffet. We thought that since we don't know much about this cuisine it would be good to try a few different things and find out what we like and don't...like. When we got inside there was no buffet. Due to covid they had chosen to abandon the buffet instead of providing a work around like other restaurants in the area (i.e., providing an employee to serve it or providing gloves and masks for self-service). We told the waitress Sonika that we were unfamiliar with the cuisine and asked her to describe a few of the dishes. She simply recommended a couple of them. We ordered the House Special Bhat and Special Chow Chow ($14.99 each). Even though we have no idea what was in either dish, they were both good and we would order them again if we ever run across Himalayan cuisine again. As far as Himalayan Pun Hill - we probably wouldn't return since other restaurants are working much harder to make a go of things in these rough times.More

Late lunch/early dinner of chicken masala and lamb biryani with garlic and cheese naan did not disappoint. Rich, bold flavor in the biryani. The masala was smooth and creamy and the chicken was perfect. Two thumbs up and definitely a return visit tomorrow to try...some of the other menu itemsMore

I love food from this part of the world. For the appetizer I got the sampler and while I liked it I don’t think I would get it again. The server recommended the chicken sekuwa. It was served on a sizzling plate similar to fajitas,...minus the tortillas. It came with a side of rice. The only vegetable that came with was onions. Flavor was good and I would’ve liked more vegetables, but I would imagine this is the way it is in the old country. Again I don’t think I’ll get it again but it wasn’t bad.More
