About our rooms
Room 1
Room 1 is the larger of our standard rooms & features a beautiful wooden four-post queen-size bed, a comfortable love seat (that can fold out to accommodate a third party), an armoire, tea table, nightstand w/ reading light, refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot. The bathroom sports a spacious walk-in shower. For your enjoyment, we provide a flat screen television & DVD player, as well as a good selection of movies. For the convenience of guests traveling w/ laptop computers, we offer free wireless Internet access in all rooms
Room 2
Room‎ 2 features antique & fine reproduction furniture. The bed is a four-post, queen-size wooden bed. This room also provides an armchair, a washstand/nightstand, dresser, refrigerator, microwave & coffeepot, & the bathroom sports an antique iron clawfoot tub w/ shower – the perfect place for a relaxing bath after a day of exploring the area’s wonders. To wind down, enjoy one of the many movies provided w/ your room’s flat screen TV & DVD player. Rooms 1 & 2 are accessed directly from the front porch. The porch features an iron bench, bistro table & chairs & plenty of fresh flowers in the planters!
Guest Suite – Room 3
Our Guest Suite features a spacious bedroom w/ a queen-size iron bed, fold out sofa, ceiling fan, exposed sandstone wall, built-in bookshelves w/ a selection of reading materials, movies, & a 32” flat screen television. The bedroom opens onto a private deck w/ table, chairs & umbrella. The deck overlooks a stream, trees & local wildlife (guests report viewing deer, muskrat, beaver, & on very rare occasions, a black bear!). The suite offers a well-equipped full kitchen, a small dining area, & a master bath w/ glassed-in shower & separate two-person jetted tub

Units 1 & 3, Units 2 & 3, or all three units can be joined together by unlocking the adjoining doors. Ask us about special rates for multiple room rentals!

Our visit to The Stone House exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is very inviting with a large stone fireplace. The dinner menu is extensive, prices are reasonable and portions are extremely generous. The service is excellent and we would definitely return when visiting the area.

This is one if not the only restaurant we go to when we visit Montrose . It’s always friendly and has great food every time they are very accommodating to big parties also.

The 3 of us ate Hamburgers with onion rings,about the lowest priced item on the menu,a very good Hambuger and Onion Rings,$10 +tax. A very classy restaurant ,nice bathrooms,bar,fireplace.

Best atmosphere and service in town. Food was excellent in taste and presentation. Unlike some there was no pressure to have us leave. Great experience.
