If you go by the Minturn Country Club you probably wouldn´t even turn your head to look at it. But inside there is a very fun place for eating, with excellent meats that you choose rare and cook on your own grill inside... It´s especially nice for large groups, a long lasting dinner that you enjoy around conversations and hugs...... More

We went with our family for a steak dinner, it was awful...don't waste your money. Place is dingy, dirty, salad bar not fresh, meat over priced and not appetizing. They throw a generic loaf of white sliced bread in the bag on the counter, meat not fresh and its expensive. You have to cook your own meat, seafood, chicken on a... More

As always, we had a nice visit to the Minturn County Club. Just one exit west of Vail, there is parking beside and behind the restaurant. The staff makes the children feel welcome and did a good job of telling them how to cook their steaks. It is a unique experience and one we never miss when we are in... More

Walked in to this rather dingy scene only to have the case of meat staring us right in the face with price tags stuck in the samples. We sat down and the waiter proceeded to explain how this was a cook your own steak place. We thought maybe there was another option (like they would do it for you), but... More

We did not eat here. We sat down and were told by the nice waiter that we would be cooking our own meat to achieve it like we want it cooked. Not what we were looking for. So we did not stay.

We were hungry and just passing through town (which was adorable and deserves further exploration) and just happened to stop here. The atmosphere is dark and mostly wood - more like a bar and grill than fine dining (judging by the cost of the dinner). Our server was very friendly, helpful, and informative. The salad bar had a lot of... More

I don't think my review will be helpful because we didn't partake of the real draw for this restaurant...cook your own meat. We weren't too hungry so we just had the salad bar and a baked potato. The salad bar offered a nice selection and the potato was nicely cooked.

This place advertises every day in the local paper and if you go, they don't even have what they advertise. Small NY strip was poor quality meat. Told the manager that kid was using his fingers to get cheese out of bowl. Said he would change it. Never did. Poor salad bar. Dressing right out of a jar. Baked potato... More

We knew we had to cook our own steak. It sounded like fun. It was just dull. To be fair, the steak was pretty good and prepared just like we wanted!), but the rest of meal was on par with a low end restaurant. The folks were nice, but we got the feeling they also knew they were under delivering.... More

If you like unpretentious restaurants with great food and real people this is the place for you. Cook your prime steak yourself, and enjoy the salad bar. Whenever I am in Vail I head for the Country Club for an awesome steak, and on most occasions also meet some nice people at the bar. Having been coming to Vail for... More
