Walked in to this rather dingy scene only to have the case of meat staring us right in the face with price tags stuck in the samples. We sat down and the waiter proceeded to explain how this was a cook your own steak place. We thought maybe there was another option (like they would do it for you), but... More

We did not eat here. We sat down and were told by the nice waiter that we would be cooking our own meat to achieve it like we want it cooked. Not what we were looking for. So we did not stay.

We were hungry and just passing through town (which was adorable and deserves further exploration) and just happened to stop here. The atmosphere is dark and mostly wood - more like a bar and grill than fine dining (judging by the cost of the dinner). Our server was very friendly, helpful, and informative. The salad bar had a lot of... More

I don't think my review will be helpful because we didn't partake of the real draw for this restaurant...cook your own meat. We weren't too hungry so we just had the salad bar and a baked potato. The salad bar offered a nice selection and the potato was nicely cooked.

This place advertises every day in the local paper and if you go, they don't even have what they advertise. Small NY strip was poor quality meat. Told the manager that kid was using his fingers to get cheese out of bowl. Said he would change it. Never did. Poor salad bar. Dressing right out of a jar. Baked potato... More

We knew we had to cook our own steak. It sounded like fun. It was just dull. To be fair, the steak was pretty good and prepared just like we wanted!), but the rest of meal was on par with a low end restaurant. The folks were nice, but we got the feeling they also knew they were under delivering.... More

If you like unpretentious restaurants with great food and real people this is the place for you. Cook your prime steak yourself, and enjoy the salad bar. Whenever I am in Vail I head for the Country Club for an awesome steak, and on most occasions also meet some nice people at the bar. Having been coming to Vail for... More

If you want overpriced cook it yourself steak and seafood with sketchy food safety and lots of kids milling around the grill, this place is for you. My take is they pray on the tourist crowd in and around Vail. I have to say my steak was good but I did cook it myself. My wife's Salmon was terrible, and... More

The Minturn Country is a regular visit for our family every year. For 10 years we have come to Minturn to eat a meal we cook ourselves. The atmosphere is fun and always hopping and the choices of steaks, seafood, and chicken are top quality. This is the place to come with your family. The salad bar is fresh and... More

it's a charming little town, I like to visit in the summer but on this occasion we went apres-ski from Beaver. My brother-in-law told me that I had to wear a coat and made a big to-do about calling ahead and getting the maitre-d to have jackets sized and waiting for us. yeah, he was putting us on --it's not...
