This is definitely different to your average coffee shop. Yes it's run by a religious group but they weren't pushy or in your face. Certainly not something to be bothered about. Worth trying if you want to give a coffee alternative a go. The mate really does have a unique flavour. Service wasn't super friendly but it's very cost inside.

Run by a religious fanatic "club" of sorts. They aren't too friendly, nor do they offer up much information on what they are about. Had an interesting phone call when I called asking about the place - vague and sort of rude, like they don't have time to explain to someone, who, unbeknownst to them, loves mate and was so... More

Many people unknowingly support this business without knowing the damage they do to our young people on a daily basis. You can easily find information on them through the internet. Their founder is Elbert Spriggs. The FBI knows them well. I had to get an NBC news team and the police to get my twenty three year old daughter away... More

My husband ordered a mate and I ordered a date bran muffin. I had never had a mate before, but it was delicious. The muffin was not good at all. After a couple of bites, I couldn't eat anymore and just drank the rest of my husband's drink. The nan behind the registrar was super helpful and friendly. The inside... More

We just arrived for one night in town, and found maté! Such a gorgeous room and atmosphere. Didn't have food, but it was definitely food made with love. These guys are super nice, and even came by the table to chat! We're coming back, and definitely checking out the Yellow Deli jn Boulder!

We were referred to this hippie healthy cafe and the food was fabulous. The crowd was a bit of a throwback to the 60's haight/ashbury, but don't let that deter you from a great meal.

This is open 24 hours. The people who work there are genuinely happy to be there. This place is not about quick but if you want strong tea or really delicious and hot coffee, this is your place!

Made fresh--the coffee and the baked goods. Our day featured the raspberry muffin. It was large enough to share, but we should have bought 2. Just a couple small complaints: 1) the chairs were not that comfortable; 2) you need a key to use the restroom (uni-sex); 3) we got a coffee card (Buy 9 get the 10th free), but... More
