This is the best breakfast in town. It is best to go on weekdays, you may have to wait for a table on the weekend.

It is an absolute joy to start your day in this café with a twist. I never had such freshly cooked breakfasts and such a choice. even the hash browns are freshly grated and all the hot sauces on offer really kick start any sluggish morning system. All served with lots of smiles and a bit of philosophy. We did... More

Mid-way through our 2 week driving trip through the Southwest we were delighted to find the Absolute Bakery & Cafe. The sandwiches were excellent, with great bread choices and no processed deli meat. Probably the most wholesome lunch we had on the whole trip, but absolutely delicious too.

Don't follow google directions to get here because that will take too long. Follow everyone else because that's where everyone is going! Loved the atmosphere and the lack of wifi. Books/magazines to read on the soft sofa while waiting for a table. Oh, and then there's the food. Spectacular! Take a little extra to get you down the road.

Warm and cozy atmosphere! Menu offers delicious choices. Sandwiches served on a variety of delicious breads. 12 Bean Soup was soooo tasty - not the usual. Treat yourself to a macaroon with a rich chocolate base . We just happened to find this place as we drove through Mancos for the first time. ABSOLUTEly!

Wonderful local bakery/restaurant for breakfast/brunch lunch. Very popular but worth the wait. If you're in a hurry get some bakery goods to go, they are delicious. If you do have time try one of their fantastic breakfast plates, your day will be happy. Unpretentious, tables crowded together but smiling friendly service.

This is THE PLACE to eat in Mancos, especially for breakfast. All of the food is fresh, with innovative touches that turn the ordinary into something special. The homemade bakery items are yummy, especially the ginormous cinnamon rolls. I also liked that the servers do not depend on tips, so all employees work together to ensure great customer service.

The food was great although it could have been hotter. The coffee bar was busy and very good coffee but it also could have been hotter. Had the food and the coffee been 15 degrees hotter we would have given 5 stars!

The Absolute Bakery and Cafe, is located in downtown Mancos, Colorado, just two blocks south of the town's only traffic light. We bake and cook everything from scratch, using organic, local and fresh ingredients. It's all homemade: from the eggs and hashbrowns, to eclectic soups and salads with our own delicious dressings, pastas from different parts of Europe, and our own red and green chile sauces in a wide variety of Southwestern fare. If you're needing a quick pick-me-up, we have a full coffee and espresso bar featuring locally roasted, fair-trade, organic coffees. The ABC offers you a fine-dining experience without the glitter. Enter the one hundred year-old Bauer Bank Building and immediately you are tantalized by the aromas of fresh breads and pastries coming hot from the oven. Our friendly waitstaff greet you with smiles. The vintage decorative tin ceiling, a variety of tables and chairs, the local artwork adorning the walls, as well as a great selection of used books for your browsing pleasure add to the unique, eclectic and cozy atmosphere that is so inviting to both locals and visitors.
