We have always loves the atmosphere, food and friendly staff at 740 Front, and even in this challenging time, they exceeded our expectations with the curbside / carry out service. Our food was great and we will definitely order from here again soon!

We met some friends here for lunch on a Saturday. It did not seem terribly busy but it took quite a while to have a server come to our table. The food arrived fairly quickly and was hot. I wish there had been more “non...brunch” options on a Saturday. There could have been better service on refilling iced tea drinks. The bar in the restaurant is beautiful.More
Four family members had brunch today and found it to be delicious. We had heuvos rancheros, veggie omelet, steak and eggs! The service was excellent and efficient. The price was very reasonable. We plan on going back soon.
Amazing menu and great service. My friends had the buffalo bison rib eye which was cooked perfectly. I had the special chicken artichoke, pasta - 👏which was right up my alley. The blue cheese mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes and the wedge salad were unbelievable....Alanna made the experience fantastic. I highly recommend it!More
We chose this restaurant as it was listed in trip advisor as one of top 10 in the area. We also chose it because when we looked at the menu they had a chopped steak which was something my sister has had in other places...and quite enjoys so she wanted to try this one. The restaurant is really quite lovely and is in a nice section of the town of Louisville. The inside is decorated very nicely and it has this amazing bar from the 1800's. It was beautiful. I found the chairs to be quite comfortable and while it was busy it did not seem overly loud. It is also a good family restaurant. Everyone who works there that we came into contact with was very pleasant and helpful. Our server was friendly and helpful in the selections. My sister ordered the chop steak, I had the portobello mushroom and the manicotti and my niece had the 740 Burger. All of our food was delicious and well prepared. The only drawback was that my niece's hamburger was too rare and she was not able to eat it. Our server apologized about this as he never asked how she would like it prepared. She was offered something else but she said no. The manager of the restaurant also came over and apologized and she was given a choice of free dessert (Creme brulee was her choice and it was delicious) and was not charged her for her meal. 740 Front also has a nice selection of craft beers on tap. I quite enjoyed the food and ambiance of this restaurant.More

We decided to try out 740 Front for lunch on Saturday. Surprise! They serve from a brunch menu both Saturday and Sunday. Not exactly what I was thinking of, but the food was real good. I had the Weekend omelette, aka a Denver omelette served...with Country potatoes and I added a side of toast. Very respectable omelette. My wife had the 740 Benedict, eggs Benedict with corned beef. She said it was quite good, but the hollandaise was too mayonaisey. They have a very delightful atmosphere and still have the 100 year old bar that was a feature of the previous Old Louisville Inn.More
The restaurant had a good balance of sweet and savory brunch items. Three guests at our table raved about the 740 Benedict w/corned beef. The menu also featured different fruit mimosas and Bloody Mary's. The restaurant was also family friendly and the children enjoyed their...options as well.More
My wife an I visited recently. Great atmosphere. We both ordered Steak. We thought the prices were a little high but when we had our food we felt it was worth it. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I probably would go here again...if I am ever in the area.More
Last night my family (party of 7 adults) had a birthday dinner at 740 Front in Louisville, our first time there. The restaurant is lovely on the inside. Our wait staff (Brody, with Richard in training) was highly professional, giving us excellent service with a...good sense of humor. I walked in with a birthday cake in a box, and Brody instantly asked if I would like it refrigerated and served after the meal (for a $1.50 extra charge. YES!!). The food was all delicious. We had everything from bison carpaccio to ahi tuna and two kinds of salmon, to manicotti--with several appetizers to start. Again, it was all delicious, not one complaint. I ordered an Irish coffee after the meal, and when it was served without whipped cream, I asked for it. They brought whipped cream in a little bowl that was the real deal. This is not an inexpensive restaurant (our entrees were in the $25-$30 range) but it was a lovely dining experience. I recommend it, and we will go back (we live in Denver).More
Located in the same site as the former Old Louisville Inn, 740 Front Street occupies the space of the last remaining saloon that lined this historic street. The eye-catching historic bar was transported over the mountains by wagon from Leadville. Best known as a steak...house, the restaurant offers a nice variety of fish. I chose the barramundi, a firm moist sea bass served piping hot over a delicious mélange of cremini mushrooms, red onion, and roasted sweet corn. My husband opted for the chicken and artichoke truffle pasta. Both the chicken and vegetables were nicely cooked in a sauce that tasted creamy and light at the same time. The main courses were a bit over-priced for the noise level. Our experience was accompanied by good service and an interesting wine menu. We chose a Sauvignon Blanc that complemented both dishes. 740 Front Street pays homage to its predecessors by serving up good food and good drink.More
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your dinner and the ambiance of our historic bar. We look forward to seeing you in again soon.
