Based in a small house across from the post office they are a Creole/Caribbean/Cuban seafood rrestaurant. Its a very very small place and has a great patio if the weather is nice. The service is always low key and friendly. Some favorites are Appetizers - Smoked salmon wontons (smoked salmon, avocado, on fried wonton with wasabi and a little ponzu),... More

We have dined at Tortugas for years and have never been disappointed. If you want well prepared, exciting fish dishes, this is the place to go!

Brought parents here for an evening meal when they visited from out of town. Although the noise level from the next table - large group celebrating a birthday - made it difficult to have a normal conversation, our Caribbean meal was terrific. The soup was to die for. Staff was attentive and friendly. Plus we were lucky to secure parking... More

We sat outside on a spectacular full moon night in October for my sister's birthday. It was very inviting and servers were all terrific!!! The Grouper catch of the day was prepared perfectly and delicious!!

Everything we ordered was excellent. Try the key lime pie. I had the jambalaya, and it was wonderful. If I have one complaint, the bread pudding wasn't what we expected.

Highly rated by our friends in Longmont, we took them there for a thank you meal. Very tempting menu, but specials were taken. Blackened tuna, red prawn curry and crab tortillas. All very tasty, and not too big portions. Hurray! Allowed room to try key lime pie (shared), which was excellent. Very friendly staff. Quite busy for a midweek, but... More

The food at this place is excellent. We had the Shrimp Callaloo for our entree. The shrimp was very fresh and the sauce was amazing It came with butternut squash, spinach, plantains and a side of rice and black beans. We also had the Cheese and potato empanadas which came with an avocado tomatillo sauce. Delicious. Finally, we had chocolate... More

The weather was great following a summer shower on their patio. It was fusion between Caribbean and New Orleans food. I had the jambalaya which was thick with crawdads, shrimp, chicken and sausage. I don't eat wheat these days and this is a gluten-free option. The prices are around $20. Not a big salad place.

The patio situation at Tortuga's is amazing. It was the perfect place for a pleasant dinner and a tasty mojito after a long day of driving. My husband and I each enjoyed Cajun dishes that tasted pretty darn authentic. It was a little pricey but I can't imagine bringing seafood to a landlocked state like Colorado is cheap--a good Friday... More

Since moving to CO from the East Coast nearly 2 years ago, my wife and I longed for a restaurant with more than just Salmon. We were told about Tortuga's and decided to give it a try. It was late summer (2015) and we sat on the outdoor patio. From the start we were met with very hospitable service. We... More
