Stopped in on our way through town and it was worth it. Great omelettes and French toast! Good portions for price. Wished I could've tried their famous cinnamon roles.

On a recent visit to family in Fort Collins, my husband and I had dinner at Vern's with my in laws and another retiree couple. We were told that it was authentic Colorado, and that seems accurate to me. The decor is basic wood tables and chairs with many animal heads and preserved specimens throughout the restaurant and attached small... More
I had the meatloaf dinner for $18 and I won't order it again. I thought it was pricey and the meatloaf was nothing special. The potatoes tasted more like instant. The serving was okay. Guess I'm just not a Vern's fan. But the Bison meatloaf at the Embassy in Loveland was A++
We had not been to the popular Vern’s Place for several years, so my wife and I – along with a friend – went by for a Tuesday lunch. The western style building makes this a friendly, casual restaurant. The lunch menu has a good variety of traditional dishes including starters, salads, stuffed spuds, soups, sandwiches, burgers, tacos and burritos.... More
We were "car-hiking" around the Medicine Bow Snowy Range and saw Vern's Place. What a treat for us that we did. I had the Cuban Black Bean Soup and my wife had the Chili---both were excellent. The service was good and the local atmosphere was great.
I would call this a local treasure. Nothin fancy, just your simple meat and potatoes menu. Try the green chile stew...good stuff. Cinnamon rolls, pies all the yummy for your tummy stuff. friendly servers. Warm weather patio over looking the river.
Your basic coffee shop/diner atmosphere, cozy, relaxed, unfussy. In warm weather the patio is open and you can enjoy views for miles. Inside is great on a snowy day. Try the breakfast burrito, you'll never want one from anywhere else. Two things I don;t like that I will stuff into my face at Vern's: their cinnamon rolls and their country... More
Yep, that's right! Took almost 30 waiting on a Saturday morning! Good big cinnamon rolls, and vast breakfast food fun. Yep, the guys at the next table really did order the beers at 9 am! Ha!
Vern's has been there forever. If you find yourself in the neighborhood do stop and get one of their incredible cinnamon rolls!
