Our hostess at the bed & breakfast we were staying at recommended Las Brisas, & we were glad she did. Not much to look at from the outside, the food, price & quality didn't disappoint. My husband got a 3 item combo for $8. The homemade chips & salsa were perfect. Come here for the food, not the ambiance. Great... More

Stopped in for dinner on a recommendation from a local... Sat in a booth which had a hole so large I could fall in, thought a beer sounded good but no liquor license, only 2 of the exposed fluorescent light were on, ceiling tiles were full of water marks, etc. Our waitress was friendly but far from good and the... I ate here one evening on a business trip not wanting fast food and upon walking in you don't feel like you're in a real restaurant. The giant dining room has very outdated chairs/tables/booths and I was beginning to second-guess my decision to eat here based on the fact it was 7:30 p.m. and it was basically empty. The waitress... Very friendly. I really liked the chips and hot sauce. The food was okay (more than edible, but not great) but my husband really liked it and cleaned his plate! I would try it again sometime! The decor could use some work but the prices were reasonable.

Whatever you order, be sure to get a side of the excellent red chile. It's fine poured over enchiladas, the onion-y pork carnitas, or beans. Add a little black pepper, too. Satisfying!

Stopped in on a local suggestion. Had the #5 combo. Enjoyed the red chili, the bean burrito was excellent. Not great decor, but great food.

There weren't too many dining options in Lamar, and we ended up going here by mistake (the clerk at a nearby hotel recommended Mission Villanueva). Overall it was decent for the price. Portions were adequate, and the prices were low. Our server was quick and pleasant. I should have ordered the chile relleno soft instead of crispy. What they call... More

Our stomachs were still in a different time zone, so we were the only customers there. The service was excellent, but the food was definitely lacking. The buffet was not warm yet so it was not safe to eat. The food we ordered off the menu was dripping so much grease that we ended up abandoning most of our meal.

While in town for a sporting event, we stopped in for lunch. The food was amazingly quick, reasonably priced and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly!
