This lodge is family run, and their food made right there, their cinnamon rolls and chili are their claim to fame. OK, their pie is great too. Good place to warm up after a day on Mt. Evans or pick up a souvenir if you're from out of town. The Echo Lake Lodge is also known for giving back to... More

Stopped in for a light lunch and pie on our way up the mountain. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the service was very slow. Nice gift shop with plenty of touristy shirts etc.

The food here was decent and was about average. It's the only place to eat nearby so it did serve it's purpose in feeding a hungry crowd of folks. Everyone in our group ate everything and did not complain so I'd say it was good. All in all I'd say the food is good just not the greatest. Being so... More

The shop itself is nothing special but the restaurant offers ample window viewing area to enjoy the multitude of hummingbirds that visit the feeders located just outside each window. Adjacent to the lodge is Echo Lake offering fishing and kayaking/canoeing opportunities and a lovely hiking trail circles the lake. A great spot to stop and get fueled up before ascending... More

This is one of the oldest buildings in the area. The design is very unique. It is better to visit in the Spring, Summer, or Fall. The road there can be pretty icy in the Winter. The view of Mt Evans behind Echo Lake is amazing!

We came close to closing time and ordered burgers and a pulled pork sandwich. Burgers were giant and messy, which is the way they should be. Husbands pork sandwich was really good in his opinion. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a lot to choose from on the menu, so don't go expecting anything more than sandwiches. And... More

After driving up Mt. Evans road this was a nice stop. The restaurant was not busy and we had very fast service. We had a nice table by the window and enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds eat out of the hummingbird feeders. The food was good but a bit pricey. I do recommend the tator tots and saving room for... More

We drove up to fish.. It's smaller than expected, but beautiful with great views.. There is like growing plant life that is about 2 foot tall across the bottom of the lake, so a little hard to fish.. The lodge was really nice, Great gift shop.

We parked by the lodge (BTW no lodging) as we were going to walk around Echo Lake. It was hard to find parking in either place, a lot of motorcycles and tourists. The lodge has a very well stocked gift shop nice clean bathrooms and a restaurant. It is a nice slight downhill walk to the lake which is beautiful... More

Wonderful place to eat while heading up or down Mt. Evans. Great staff--Lots of Euro students, it seems. Nice menu. Breakfasts are huge. Do not hike after eating them! Amazing numbers of hummingbirds at feeders outside of windows. All the food was good. A bit pricey, but you are half way up a mountain, so.....
