We stopped here for a restroom stop but also found a wonderful gift shop and restaurant! The building is very rustic and the restaurant made you feel like you were stepping back in time a bit, but not in a bad way. Just a simple restaurant with mountain type decor. We had already had lunch but when we saw the... More

We got a table right away and the service was quick. We were by the window which offered a beautiful mountain and lake view. I had the French dip and hubby had the bacon, Brie burger. Both were excellent. Remember to read the sides because they don't ask and if you don't tell them you get French fries. The waiter... More

Any drive up to Mt Evans should end with a stop at Echo Lake Lodge. Just a really neat old place. Really should visit in the early fall when the leaves turn.

This gift shop has an array of items to choose from to commemorate your visit. The hummingbirds on the flowers outside of the building were fun to watch. The lake is so calming and pretty. Take time to stop. You will be happy you did. Also a nice bonus - clean restrooms.

Went to the top of Mount Evans today. After we came down from the gorgeous ride to the top, we stopped at the Echo Lake Lodge. We stayed and ate lunch. The food was very good and the service was great. Not the best meal by far but well worth the stop. After the relaxing lunch, I had to visit... More

Very pretty and nice walking trail. Several people fishing but was not over crowded at all. We parked at the lodge and walked down the trail and back.

It is a giftshop (interesting by itself if you like gift shopping), but it is no a real Lodge where you can spend the night.

This historic lodge is the perfect place to stop before or after your trip to Mount Evans. It is a rustic and beautiful building in a spectacular setting with great views, interesting shopping, and delicious food. Throw caution, or calories, to the wind and order the bison stew (although the bison chili was delicious too) with the decadent grown-up grilled... More

We stopped into use the restroom, but we ended up eating a wonderful lunch. My husband ordered the buffalo stew and I ordered the buffalo chili. And we both ordered a delicious slice of pie. The entire meal was wonderful. We also purchased a few things in the little store. I would highly recommend stopping in to enjoy a nice... More

My husband had a classic burger and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had the High Altitude burger which was an amazing mixture of toppings. Pie crust was light and flaky. I just thought the fries were undercooked. But I didn't care because the burger more than made up for it. They're big too.
