Ate lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks are large, service was excellent. Enjoyed watching the airplanes coming and going. A lot of aviation decor.

The food is terrific.... breakfast or lunch. You can enjoy the planes coming and going from the restaurant. A family favorite.
We were looking for a new place to eat breakfast, and having found great reviews on Trip Advisor and Google, we checked out their website and decided to give them a try. We arrived at 10:30AM grabbed a table and when we were about to...order we were told that they don't serve breakfast after 10:15AM. This is a restaurant that closes at 2:30PM and is completely off the beaten path. YOU WOULD THINK THAT THEY MIGHT WANT TO POST THIS INFO ON THEIR WEBSITE.More
Fun place to take my son to watch the aircraft coming and going from the Greeley Airport while having lunch. A bit of a greasy spoon, but oh so good! I recommend the burgers, patty melt or burritos. Good food, good service and good prices...- not to mention free entertainment with a front row seat to the Greeley Airport's runway while you eat!More
Greeley was the last stop on the 99s Poker Run this past Saturday. We finished the run a bit late and the Barnstormer was closing up but they stayed open to make us a couple of burgers. They were pretty good. Service was great, very...friendly. Prices we good.More
When visiting my son at UNC I decided to bring him for breakfast before heading home. We were warned it would take an hour for our food to arrive. However after an hour our order was still fourth in line. I had to cancel so...could ironically catch a flight in Denver. Our waitress quickly warmed up a cinnamon roll and comped our ticket. We will definitely try again.. but when we have more time.More
I have dined here for many years and will continue to do so for many years to come. Not a bad plate on the menu and the chef will fix you what you want if desired!
Whether you fly in or drive, don't miss this gem. Fabulous and plentiful breakfasts and lunches. The wait staff are attentive, professional and very friendly. Of course, you can enjoy your food while watching the constant parade of airplanes taking off and landing.
Whenever we have out of town guests -- especially children -- we take them to the Barnstormer for breakfast. It's always fun (unless it's a rare day in Greeley when we're fogged in). One pancake is all we can eat and that's always what we...order.More
I confess, The Barnstormer holds a special place in my heart. It's where I learned the real reason for flying: the $100 hamburger. I had been flight training for several weeks, and I guess my instructor, Greg, decided it was time to introduce me to...the social side of flying. We dropped into Greeley, about a 20 minute flight from our home base at Erie, and my eyes and mouth were opened to a whole other aspect of the aviation community: socializing. Nostalgia aside, there's a reason pilots still flock to The Barnstormer and the locals drive out. This is a solid airport restaurant, with a great breakfast and lunch. Don't expect Eggs Benedict or mimosas (no liquor license - probably a good idea considering it's "Eight hours from bottle to throttle"). But the omelets are yummy, the hash browns just right, the flapjacks will devour your plate, and the buffalo burgers are fresh. While the food is very good, what pulls The Barnstormer into the 4 star category is the ambiance. It's a friendly gathering spot for old birds and young fledglings. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is straight out of central casting for an airport restaurant. Fly in or drive in. If you understand the airport restaurant culture and appreciate it, The Barnstormer will fill your cup.More
You'll receive some of the friendliest service in town, and a pancake the size of a Volkswagen.... But alternative menu items can be hit-n-miss, depending on "what?", we're not sure... variations seem to occur on some of the entrée items, maybe depending on who's in...the kitchen. I would avoid the Breakfast Burrito... Gloppy, flat, and unfulfilling... sorry, there's just better out there.More
I didn't fly in to eat(I was actually there painting the 99s compass rose) at The Barnstormers Restaurant, but it is a perfect place for a $100 hamburger. Located on the Greeley Weld County Airport (GXY) www.gxy.net The restaurant is located in the airport general...aviation terminal. If you fly in you can taxi right up, tie down, fuel up, and have some lunch. Your friends that drive in to meet you have ample parking from the front entry. Barnstormers is a small, quaint, diner atmosphere. They serve Breakfast and Lunch and are open most days from 7:00am to 2:30pm. I hear the Chicken Fried Steak is fantastic. I had the smothered burrito, so this tells you that they have a variety of foods to please most people. The decor is of course aviation everywhere you turn. Large picturesque windows let you watch planes landing and taking off while you eat. I think they have a small kitchen so they are a little slow with service at times but that gives you more time to watch airplanes. Be sure to buy a Barnstormers Tee Shirt as a souvenir before you leave. HAPPY FLYING!!!More
Incredible breakfast, delicious lunch, great value and a fun, interesting setting. Take your guests to the Barmstormer - they won't forget it!
Happened to stop at this quiet local airport and noticed the Barnstormer restaurant. Excellent home-cooked, super value, breakfast all served up with really friendly, hospitable service. Very popular with locals and lots of interesting aircraft memorabilia, history, paintings etc.to enjoy.
A group of friends decided to go for lunch at the Barnstormer Restaurant in the Greeley-Weld County Airport terminal. Private-plane pilots like to stop here for a hearty meal. The breakfast menu lists typical dishes found in many traditional American diners. Lunch selections include burgers,...French fries, burritos, cheese steaks, Philly steaks, sandwiches, salads and more. Lunch time was busy with energetic, congenial waitresses. Those in our group said their lunches were satisfying and plenty filling. My buffalo patty melt and salad made a very good meal. Watching planes from our table was an extra bonus, taking me back to an earlier time.More
