We must have hit the Fat Cat on bad Saturday. The "brunch buffet" was difficult to warm up to. In fact most of the brunch offerings were either barley warm or straight from the local supermarket in the case of the desert items. It had that fun local funky vibe...which did not overcome the mediocre food offerings. Oh well...we had... More

We didn't know that it was only a buffet when we walked in the door. If we had we known before hand we probably wouldn't have went. You kinda get bombarded with it when you walk in the door and would help rude turning around and leaving. That said- the food was mostly good. But, we thought it was over... More

I recommend the weekend breakfast buffet! For a small town there is usually a line to get in. The buffet selection is excellent too! I recommend the Scotch Eggs, and the pastries! I can't say enough about the food, it's really good!

Do yourself a favor and visit the Fat Cat weekend buffet. This was our fifth visit to this buffet, and it was, as usual, superb. A family member tried the Scotch eggs and now says that they are his favorite. The biscuits and gravy are another family favorite. My only complaint is that after I eat the breakfast buffet, I... Four of us had the Saturday morning buffet. There were many protein dishes, but the baked goods were outstanding! We really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and the oatmeal cookies! Even your drinks were included in the price. If you're in Grand Lake, don't miss the Fat Cat Cafe for breakfast!

We had breakfast at Fat Cat Cafe this morning. Overall the breakfast was good. Don't recommend the cinnamon rolls. If you are looking for strong coffee, this is not the place. Highly recommend that the Cafe replaces the very dirty carpet. It distracts from the dining experience.

The service was slow, and the waitress wasn't very friendly. The food was okay, nothing special here unless you are a cat fan as there is a lot of cat decor.

This place is pretty small - very limited seating. We had huevos rancheros. They were good, but nothing to rave about. Good portions at a fair price. Seems to be popular with the locals and that's always a good sign. They are open only for breakfast and lunch, but on Mondays it is breakfast only.
