We just had lunch at El Tapatio, it is delicious. I had a crispy chili rellanos that was the best I have ever had, and the Tacos were spot on. Excellent food and service. Will definitely eat here again when we are in Grand Junction!

Seriously the best Mexican food I've ever eaten from California to Colorado. I had the fajitas and my wife had a crispy chili rellano and a carne asada taco. The rice and beans were perfect... I'll come back the next time we're in town and maybe even tonight.

We were visiting Grand Junction to see family and asked for a recommendation for the "best Mexican restaurant" in the area. El Tapatio got the hands down recommendation. We visited El Tapatio on a Sunday evening, the place was packed, and many of the guests seemed to be local residents, all speaking Spanish. We got a table without difficulty and... More

The fajitas were mostly onions and peppers, very little steak. And $17. The margarita was mostly "rocks", that took up most of the volume on the glass. And that was $14. Maybe authentic Mexican chips are thick, but I prefer thin, light, and crispy. But the salsa was good. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Really good authentic Mexican food. Love their vegetarian menu options! Great margaritas too! I've been there several times and it hasn't disappointed. Give this place a try!

I have been here three times while traveling through Grand Junction. The food has been excellent all three times. Very authentic food. The second time I was there the service was somewhat slow, but the other two times it was good. The mixed drinks are good also. The menu is huge. I would go out of my way to eat... More

My husband ordered three pork carnitas tacos and they were filled with meat! My husband was very happy! I ordered the mediano combo (tostada and chile relleno). I ordered a ground beef tostada and the ground beef was seasoned like meat for tacos which I did not like. The salsa was very tasty and not too hot!

This was fairly traditional Mexican food. Shrimp cocktail was huge and good. Kids meals were also very large. Margaritas were a little too sweet, but were a good deal on special.

Visited last night and will go back again. It's one of those places you want to call it a hole in the wall! Great service, flavorful margs and outstanding Mexican fare. Had the shredded beef chalupa and crispy Relleno. Hard to find any restaurant serving crispy relleno's these days. Everything did not taste the same and not covered in sauces... More

Mrs SmellyOldGoat and I were returning home from Phoenix. I-17 & I-40 were busy, so we headed North through Utah and then East through Colorado. This put us in Grand Junction and dinner time. I used TripAdvisor to search for restaurants. Fortunately, we could not find our first choice. We followed the map and drove around the block 3 times,... More
