I consider myself a connoisseur of authentic Japanese food. This establishment is the "bomb" in all respects. Great sushi, sashimi, nigiri and tempura. Wonderfully fresh, beautifully prepared and presented and a good atmosphere.

Very popular spot - even at 6:00 on a Tuesday, when nothing much was going on downtown, there was a wait. We chose the sushi bar which was available and split a large sushi "boat" among three. However, a cardinal sin is to make nigiri-sushi with plain rice. Sushi by definition is "vinegared rice", and the sushi gourmet in our... More

The Beef Tataki had a wonderful marinade, and was grilled perfectly. It was served with an over-abundance of tempura, but no dipping sauce, which usually floats away some of the oil, was not included. The restaurant was completely packed. Yes, they are certainly doing many things right, but this resulted in an over-stretched, very lean, albeit friendly, staff, leaving no... More

Something told me not to order sushi here and I think I made a wise decision. I had the Yakisoba seafood. The portion was huge, but it reminded me of the food you get at a food court in a shopping mall. The service was OK; the atmosphere minimal.

Don't think that just because you are closer to the continental divide than an ocean means you can't find real and good sushi. Suehiro has the usual and the unique. These guys know good sushi and their service is great too! (Try their Tokyo Peach. Mmmm)

Great sushi place, decent size to accommodate table seating, traditional cross leg or a spot on the sushi bar. My favorite is back of the house at the actual bar

Good food, good service and a great downtown location. I just wish they didn't close between lunch and dinner.

There was a time when the restaurant slid downhill a bit, but they have redeemed themselves by providing excellent service and great food. Highly recommend you get there 15 minutes before opening to get a good seat, yea, it's that good!

We've tried various sushi rolls at Suehiro, and all of them are a big hit. Their Mango Tango is especially "delish".
