La Rouge is a must do for us when we are in Grand Junction. The service is always attentive without being intrusive and the food is delicious. I started with the escargots and hubby had the crab cakes, before we moved on to the duck...breast and the lamb. It was all excellent. It’s a little sad to see the restaurant so empty between COVID worries and the closure of I70. If you are in town, do consider La Rouge as a place for an excellent and romantic meal.More

Went there for our anniversary. We had drinks, an appetizer and then ordered dinner. We waited for 30 minutes for our entries and they brought them to a table next to us (they came a while after us). They then when back and picked the...entries from these people and took then to the kitchen. 5 to 7 minutes later they brought out our entries! We knew they just brought us the same meals, but they did NOTHING to own up to any of this. They acted like we were being picky for wanting a meal that wasn't luke warm. We had already been there for an hour and a half and really didn't want to wait an other 45 minutes to be served. I have worked in food service for many years. This restaurant needs to how to do 'recovery' in these situations. It can be done. When we got our check they had taken off $17.00. Not sure how they came to that amount, but the hostess and wait staff should of relayed something to us. Plus!!! I don't know who is training the bus staff, but he was always trying to take out plates, silverware and drinks before we done!More

We are hoping that Le Rouge is the same restaurant that we ate in several years previously called Moulin Rouge. It turns out to be the same one which had to change its name due to trademark regulations. We are happy because our previous dinner...was excellent and we are expecting this one will be too. We are not disappointed. We start with foie gras which other than needing some salt is very good. My husband. Has a deconstructed coquille St. Jacques which is excellent and I have an equally good salad and the crab cakes with corn.More

Patrice needs to train his staff better. Waitress was rushed and made us feel rushed, had not even tasted the "special" entree, did not know anything about the $65 bottle of wine we ordered, and forgot our appetizer. Support staff bringing water never even said...hello or made eye contact. We've come to Le Rouge for nearly 20 years and it's disappointing to have such a poor experience. To be fair, the food was great - salad fresh, filet cooked beautifully. So kudos to the chef. But, overall the experience was doused by poor service.More

Wow- we hit the jackpot! Le Rouge on Main Street in historic Grand Junction. Such a nice town with great variety of shops and restaurants. Le Rouge is a very good French restaurant- delicious onion soup, lobster ravioli, scallops, duck and creme brûlée with a...wide variety of wines by the glass. Our server, Tammy, was fab- following our desired “slow meal” approach. It was a night to remember!More

Not worth the cost. Overpriced food that is not well prepared. Fine dining requires craftsmanship and blending of flavors that complement each other. This is an attempt to appear fancy but without the substance to follow through, in our opinion. Mixed flavors were unenjoyable. Rice...was bland and under cooked, sauces had a little flavor, and sides didn’t pair well with the main. Decent wine selection at least. If you’re gonna demand that much money I would demand high-quality meals. This didn’t live up to it.More

We come to Grand Junction numerous times a year and often visit Le Rouge for martinis, apps and occasionally dinner. We needed to get out of the snow and thought it would be a treat to have Valentine’s dinner here. It is evident there have...been changes. The long time, excellent bartender (lady with French? accent) was gone. The new one was completely overwhelmed on this busy evening. Our martinis were not what we ordered and not sure who was at fault - the very young waiter or new bartender. We ordered traditional gin & vodka martinis which were served in copper martini glasses. Ugh! Everyone around us was waiting and grumbling about how long drinks were taking. A young couple a few tables over were unhappy about something and left after speaking with their server. All of the wait staff seemed young, inexperienced and overwhelmed. For a restaurant of this caliber, clientele expect a higher level of service, knowledge and maturity. The food was good enough but the overall experience didn’t justify the expensive final bill. I guess all good things must come to an end as we won’t be returning to Le Rouge.More

We made a reservation for New Year's Eve - we wanted to get a particular Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine but our hostess came to our table and told us that, unfortunately, she's been unable to get additional bottles of that vintage. She was willing, however, to offer...us her other Chateauneuf-du-Pape (a $25 more expensive bottle) but would charge us the price of the lesser priced one. I thought that was really nice of her; offered that to us without us asking first. Overall, the dinner was exquisite (I had the duck breast, my wife had the filet with lobster sauce), and the smoked salmon salad was absolutely delicious! Overall, a great ambiance and we never felt like we were being rushed out of there.More

We love the Le Rouge Bar. We go there very often. The Bartendresses, Marie and Jessie are amazing. Claire is always so attentive. Patrice is the best. Try out their Charcuterie.

This is a small restaurant with awesome food. I had the Tempura Lobster Ravioli and my husband had the Escargots and we both had the duck breast. I had the Crème Brulee and my husband had the daily Crème Brulee special. All the food was...delicious. The service was also fabulous. We had reservations and were greeted at the door and seated immediately. Austin was our server and he was happy to make recommendations for drinks, wine and food. Dinner was served at a good pace, never rushed, which was lovely. We asked him for a recommendation on where we could get wine and cheese/meats/treats for a picnic the next day and not only did he give us recommendations he wrote down the names and addresses for his recommendations. Will definitely come back when in Grand Junction.More
