We try to stop at Dream Cafe whenever we are travelling through Grand Junction. While the food has been outstanding in the past, it was very average (at best) this time. The hostess was fantastic - we had a 20 minute wait for a table...and she was great in keeping us and everyone else updated on the status of the wait, all the while with a smile and a great attitude. This is a nearly impossible job that she performed extraordinarily well. Unfortunately, our experience went downhill afterwards. Our server was efficient but not attentive. I felt like we were just being pushed out the door almost as soon as we were seated. As for the food, the cinnamon roll was great as usual, but the Dream Benedict was almost inedible. The hollandaise was overly thick, cold and not good. The eggs were cold and the ham was tasteless. Sad. My wife had bacon and eggs and her eggs were not cooked properly and were cold as well. We used to love this place, but I doubt we will make the effort to stop by again. Unfortunately, the Dream Cafe may be a victim of its own success.More

While visiting campus, quite a few people told us this was THE breakfast place. The ambiance is fun, chic and bright. The menu sounded good but of the 3 different meals we got, none of us would purchase again. My California Bennie (eggs Benedict w...roasted red peppers, asparagus and avocado) was delivered as a regular eggs Benedict and when I finally flagged my waitress down, she said she’d just bring me some avocado. I said it’s supposed to have other stuff and she said she’ll grab some asparagus too. So .... some assembly required? The egg yolks were cooked solid through. Got a plastic cup side of avocado and some microwave heated canned asparagus. No sign of roasted red peppers. Barely an apology and no amends to make things right - paid full price for wrong dish that I assembled myself with sub quality ingredients and over cooked eggs. My daughter ordered the breakfast burrito which was large and cold. So cold the cheese never came close to getting melted. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros and his eggs that were ordered “over easy” were also overcooked and solid and he said the “salsa verde” tastes like Stokes canned green chili. For what we paid, we were extremely disappointed.More

Went on a Saturday and a bit of a wait but worth it. I got a hazelnut French toast and my sis got the pineapple upside-down pancake. Very delicious! Clean, pleasant atmosphere.

Steak jalapeño eggs Benedict was absolutely phenomenal! My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy as well. A+ for fast service and pomegranate mimosas! Quick 15 minute wait outside and provide a cup of coffee at my request. Clean, modern environment as well. Highly recommend brunch!

We stopped here for breakfast while heading from Denver to Moab. It was #1 on TripAdvisor for breakfast and we see why. We had the salmon eggs benedict and the avocado toast and poached eggs. Everything was made and presented wonderfully. They followed all COVID...protocols.More

Was told this was “the” place to brunch in GJ, and now I see why! The raspberry mimosa was delicious, as was The jalapeño steak Benedict. My only complaint is that it was soaked in hollandaise sauce which made the texture a bit off and...masked the taste of everything else (see photo). After scraping 75% of the sauce off it was magnificent though.More

Overall food was fine. However made to feel very intimidated at front door because we didn't follow covid entry instructions. We entered, tolded to go back out side and wait...we did less than 5 seconds. We saw this happen numerous times. Not sure we will...return if the door guard is on duty.More

My husband and I are big on brunch so we decided to come check this place out and the food did not disappoint! We arrived on a Monday around 11am and were seated to a booth inside within 10 minutes. They were very busy -...one group of guests out another immediately in. It was also a very loud atmosphere. Our waitress was so busy we barely saw her, which made it a not so personal experience. Inside the restaurant was very clean and well kept. Loved the natural lighting from the skylights. I ordered the Hazelnut French Toast and it was delicious! My husband loved his AM Burrito with spicy chorizo! The mimosas were great, too. Portion sizes are big and reasonably priced. We left with our belly's full. We recommend making a stop here if you are in Grand Junction!More

Beautiful dining right downtown with lots of outdoor seating. There were eight of us and all eight people said it was one of the best brunches they have had in a long time.

We ordered food to go, due to Covid. That being said our food was still amazing! We had the Hazelnut French toast and AM burrito. So so good! A must try if you ask me!

A phone call to the Dream Cafe could answer that question as summertime may have sidewalk seating. Inside the cafe no dogs!
