I went here twice in my stay in GJ. The first time the service was extremely slow. I had the teriyaki chicken skewers (thigh meat - yuck) and the green chili pork stew (pretty good). The second time the service was MUCH better, and I had the pork and grits (awesome). Overall, the menu is a bit limited however.

We visited here after a long swim meet and were very pleasantly surprised. The menu has some great, interesting choices. I had the ahi tuna lettuce wraps which were fabulous. Then, I tried the Jerk chicken which was pretty authentic and delicious. My son had the fish tacos and said the pico was the best he's ever tasted. Everyone in... More

I frequently meet friends at the Ale House to have drinks, but I had not eaten there until recently. I was very surprised to see that they have a new menu which has been scaled way back from the previous menu. There are no longer many options. The food is okay, not great. It is frequently very loud, so it... More

I visited this place 3 - 4 years ago and had a decent meal. This stop, I had an hour to kill before my next meeting and decided to try the bar. The beer, as usual, was great, In fact, I had a small batch Sam Adams beer which I have never seen in my home base in Boston! After... More

I definitely enjoyed my time at the Ale House. My server Jody was very attentive and had a great personality. My water was never empty and his suggestion for the hand made pies was absolutely perfect. It was such a delicious dessert that I could tell it hadn't been sitting in a freezer overnight. Still, I was pleasantly surprised when... More

We got a great table outside surrounded by grass, trees, and nice little seating areas for large and small groups. The service was a bit slow and they mixed up our beer orders, but other than that the food was good and the beer was excellent.

Group of 12 gathered here for dinner before a rafting trip. Excellent salads, I had the Southwestern Steak Salad. Others enjoyed variety of beer and desserts.

Very clean and welcoming, booths were of hard wood. We had ordered the steak rib that was supposed to be cooked all day but was actually quite tough and not flavoursome despite being one off the most expensive dishes on the menu. Service was very quick though, would not go there again as we did not think it was worth... More

We had heard this place mentioned a couple times back at our hotel and again from Trip Advisor ratings, so we thought we'd give it a go. Being from Wisconsin, we're always up for a good beer pub. Unfortunately we had a slightly cranky waitress and we were seated in a dark greenish booth that was more like a boxed... More
