Save your money. This place serves pre-packaged pasta, bland, unoriginal sauces, and over-priced drinks. It's your typical below-average lousy food establishment taking advantage of its location in a tourist zone. In a nutshell, this place is over-priced, and the food is school cafeteria quality. We ordered Gnocchi (packaged). Fettucinci (packaged) and bruschetta (packaged bread slathered with tomatoes and olive oil).... More

We were here on a brief little excursion to Glenwood Springs and wanted something to eat and this is one of the few places in Glenwood Springs we have yet to eat at. It is tucked away in a very intimate setting and kind o hidden so you kind of have to know about it. Pros: The food was very... More

My husband was looking for antipasti salad, and there was nothing like that at the Italian Underground, so we made our way up the street and so glad we did!! They didn't exactly have that on the menu but they put one together for him and didn't charge him anything extra! The wait staff was very nice and helpful and... More

Tucked away, small, intimate restaurant. Very quiet atmosphere with unique options for a gluten free diner. Had a butternut squash soup that was divine and carpaccio di manzo small plate for entrée. Divine food, great presentation, very reasonable.

This is the best Italian food I've had since I was a student in Florence. The bread came first--made in the restaurant and delicious. I had the gnocchi, which were perfect dumplings. Usually in the U.S. they are doughy and nothing like what I had in Itally. The gnocci at the Trattoria Dionesia were fabulous--just right. My daughter asked for... More

love this place excellent food great service every time! The people who had the black eye experience were probably "white trash out of towners" who don't know how to behave when they go out in public.

I'm not sure what's keeping Trattoria Dionisia from being a great Italian restaurant. The food is good, sometimes great sometimes too salty, but never bad. The atmosphere might be the problem. Nothing wrong with going downstairs to eat, but the widely spaced tables under fluorescent lights just isn't creating the atmosphere conducive to a great Mediterranean restaurant. We'll try them... Really good and authentic Italian. I recommend the specials; I have not been disappointed. Her raviolis are especially heavenly, and the deserts are top notch. Smaller place, so go earlier if you don't want to wait.

Tuesday night, the week before July 4th. The place was full and it looked to be short staffed. The other Italian restaurant was closed. It took a bit to get waited on and to get our food, but the food was very good. Really rich taste but not overdone. Atmosphere is nice and quaint, cost is reasonable. Really good place,... More

Excellent choice for lunch. Clean, comfortable space allows for easy conversation over very good food. Gluten free choices available. The pizza is promos. Fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes make for top taste.
