Part of our good rating is based on input from local family who have visited several times. We had a long wait and the restaurant was very loud and warm. It took quite a while to get our food, but it was all good. Our...server was pleasant but obviously busy with several tables. Seems to be a popular birthday destination - at least four times during our meal the staff came out to sing Happy Birthday to a patron.More

Called on Saturday Aug 13th for a reservation for 11 people for Sunday Aug 14th at 11:30am. Arrived on time just to be told no one knew about our reservation even though it was listed in their book and we needed to wait at least...an hour. Completely disappointing.More

We loved our visit to Frida's. Thank goodness our GPS suggested it as we were looking for a place to stop for lunch. I had the fish tacos - deliciously fresh with a unique blend of flavors that reminded me of fish tacos I've had...in the Carribean. Our twin boys loved the wings, our youngest, age 8, who is our most selective eater, even enjoyed his Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla. When I asked them what they thought of Frida's, they said definitely 5 stars! Aside from the food, the atmosphere was fun, colorful, and authentic. We will definitely make it a point to stop at Frida's if we're ever out this way again.More

We had a lovely dining experience at Frida's. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the background music and the casual environment. We were hoping for a nice Mexican dinner and Frida's was just what we wanted.

My husband and I saw this place on one of our drives around Glenwood and immediately made sure we came here for a date night while we’re here for vacation. Frida Kahlo is one of my favorite artists so of course I was intrigued. I...love the decor inside, jam packed with Frida. The service was nice, just the right amount of attentive. It wasn’t packed, but they were busy so it wasn’t too loud. I ordered the horchata, and it was the best horchata I’ve had yet. My husband ordered a chimichanga and it was so flavorful. The tomatillo sauce was perfection. The steak was juicy and well seasoned. I ordered the tampiquena. I was speechless. The delectable sauce covering the steak was so flavorful, I couldn’t help myself but to eat the entire thing. We definitely felt like the food we were served was well worth the price we paid. We definitely will eat here again when we come back to Glenwood.More

We were confused. Online we found the Frida's menu, which seemed to have good veggie options, but when we sat down the menu was totally different. Apparently there's a Frida's in another state which pulls up for Glenwood. So, there was really only one vegetarian...option, which was the veggie tamales. They were actually really good. So, when we want tamale plates, we'll come here. However, it would be so nice to have other veggie options, then we would eat here more often. They don't even have veggie fajitas, which is pretty much a given at any Mexican restaurant. Other ideas would be enchiladas and tacos? (Hint, hint) If you like meat and seafood heavy Mexican food, then you'll probably love this. The restaurant is quite loud (music and people), so not a good option if you want to be able to talk to each other.More

It was perfectly OK, but not amazing. Tacos were pretty standard. My big burrito was better, but still was not a show stopper. Service was so so. Ambiance was a bit lacking. Can’t really think why I would come back, but equally if someone wanted...to go there I’d happily go along with a group.More

Perfectly crafted plate of flavor! I ordered the tamale, chicken enchilada, steak taco combo. What I ate was the best all around Mexican dinner that I can recall. I usually am a fast eater, but found myself slowing down dramatically to savor each bite. Pretty...restaurant, good drinks, acceptable service. Go for the flavor!More

The food here is absolutely fantastic! Best Fajitas I’ve had in a really long time. The green Chile sauce is delicious too, and we all loved the salsa. My only issue with the place is that they blast music so it’s a little on the...loud side.More

(Summary: this restaurant tried to charge us for alcohol we didn't order. When caught, they played dumb. When questioned, they became aggressive and racist. They even forced us to pay more tips than they deserved.) Background info: we are 5 customers of Chinese ethnicity visiting...Glenwood Springs. This restaurant overcharged us on the check, by adding a liquor that we didn't order. We demanded to talk with our waitress A. The waitress refused to show up and sent another waitress B. It appears to me that adding something not ordered is business as usual for this restaurant. Waitress B came back with a new bill, and told us the previous bill "is a mistake." She didn't even bother to offer to apologize. I guess they routinely overcharge unsuspecting customers. One of our party told them that if no apology is made, we are going to pay no tips. This rattled the restaurant owner. When we left, the front desk lady made lots of racist remarks about us. Apparently she didn't think we understand Spanish. For example they said: "these chinamans are such trouble makers." Yes, we were able to catch those racist slurs. Because one of our party said we are not gonna pay tips, the front desk lady simply added tips to the bill, and forced us to pay an amount they stipulated. She was very rude and mean, and pointed her finger to us, while murmuring racist slurs in Spanish, which we all understood. Again we questioned her about forcing us to pay tips they stipulated, given that they tried to charge us for something we didn't order. This is what she said: "Everybody makes mistakes." "I could have charged you guys more because you are 5 people." (while pointing her index finger to us.) "Because you said you are not going to pay tips, I'm going to put it on the bill." (Question: do restaurants have right to force charge a tip?)More

Everything we had was perfection and just what we wanted. The salsa and margaritas were great. By far, the best Mexican food I’ve had in Colorado. Flautas were tender chicken with cojita cheese and lots of toppings. Don’t hesitate- just go!
