We had excellent service and the food was great. The meatloaf and prime rib were both great tasting.

River's is a nice oasis on the Roaring Fork River away from CO HWY 82 and down town Glenwood Spring hustle. Visited with friends and had bottle of red wine, one calamari starter (small and not very crispy) followed by two medium plated warm spinach salads with tuna, a sirloin strip steak and fish & chips--all of which were very... One of the few restaurants open on Christmas Day. They offered a traditional turkey dinner for just $20 but they had a limited menu as well. The staff were really friendly as were other guest.
Be sure to ask for an outdoor table (weather permitting) which overlooks the river. It was a beautiful summer evening and our meal was delicious. We had very good service and it was such a pleasure to enjoy the beautiful view from the deck. Truly a great experience for these low-landers.
First, you can't beat the location, as the name indicates, right on the River. Inside it is lovely (we particularly enjoyed the holiday decorations, but it is always very tastefully decorated). The menu is not large, but very tasty! Good selection of adult beverages as well. We've never been disappointed and are excited to go back everytime we visit Glenwood... More
Visited on Christmas day for a traditional dinner. My wife and I both ordered the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings for 22.00 each. The first course was carrot salad which was decent. The dinner "rolls" were store bought French bread, then later came their homemade pretzel rolls. Really bisquick biscuits taste better, and the French bread that first... More
My daughter and I went into Rivers Restaurant for one drink at the bar on or way home on Christmas Day evening. We asked if we could sit anywhere in the bar area and the manager, Anita, who even knows me since I am local, rudely told us that they had no room and no food as she rushed by... More
The bacon wrapped Duck is the smokiest bacon I have ever had. We also got the Elk Flank Steak and it melted in your mouth. The Colorado Meatloaf made with Bison, elk & lamb had the best glaze. For desert, the flourless chocolate cake was just too good to pass up. The Hostess Anita is the friendliest person you will... More
My wife and I've been going to the Rivers for Sunday brunch for several years now. Service is excellent, the food is always good, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Eggs Benedict and the omelets are my usual choices. When the weather is good, you can sit out on the deck overlooking the Roaring Fork River. Nice views, nice... More
Favorite place in town! Chef Becca is a genius! I had the New York strip medium rare and it couldnt have been better. Cooked to perfection, her sauce and grilled zucchini are to die for. Gordon's service is what I look for in a waiter at any restaurant I visit. Perfect description of the menu, he makes your mouth water... More
