Tavern West has been a go-to dinner spot for us for years whenever we visit Frisco. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively. It’s not uncommon to see families, ski groups and friends enjoying the fantastic food and service. While it is not a quiet place it also isn’t hard to have an intimate conversation. The daily specials are always very good and the full menu does not disappoint. Last night the special was a rack of lamb that was prepared to perfection! The pork chop is a favorite of ours but you better arrive hungry, it is huge. There is a full bar with signature cocktails, a rotating beer selection and plenty of good wine choices to compliment the menu. I highly recommend Tavern West.

While visiting the area we decided that Tavern West would be a great dinner for upscale food, boy where we right. I didn't read enough into the information about the restaurant around 6 on a Friday thinking we will be sat pretty quickly......We were quickly told they should be able top have a table ready by 8:30. However, the host said we could stand in the bar area and wait for something to open up sooner, so we did and sat down at the bar within 15 minutes. It was difficult to decide on what to eat because we wanted to try everything. I went with the bolognese and my wife had the duck ramen. Both were really great choices. If you plan on eating here please be sure to make a reservation.

We ate at Tavern West with friends last weekend. We made reservations in advance to make sure we got a table. We had a great meal with wonderful service. I had a burger that was cooked exactly medium rare the way I wanted it. Our group also ordered the scallops, tater tots, beet salads, and bolognese. We loved everything. Menus were all on line, staff was wearing masks to protect us, and we felt very comfortable dining out with them. The staff was very attentive and friendly and Bobby, the owner was in the resturant and checking in with the guests. It was an extremely enjoyable evening. We will go back and we highly recommend it.

We went to this restaurant the first night we arrived to Frisco. We were a little hesitant because we did not have any time to do a research about the quality of their food. We are no happy we stopped and tried their food. Everything was absolutely great! Server was very friendly and helpful... even the busboy... (the owner) came by to greet us. Excellent experience.

The menu looks appetizing, but appetizers and main dishes were not that good. I ordered "wood-grilled lamb chops" for $36 and got two small lamb chops that were mostly bone. There are many better choices in Frisco.

A local recommended that we join him for dinner at this restaurant. We have been visiting Summit county for over 25 years and had no idea this restaurant existed. It’s in a nice quiet part of Frisco away from all of the traffic. The atmosphere was great (what you would expect in a upscale mountain town), loved the food options and the attentive service. We will definitely make it back!!

The food and service were excellent! The big downside to this place is that the ambient noise level is like sitting inside a jet engine. For $150 meal with one drink each and a dessert we could not have a conversation. The place was not even full, it was not loud music, or TV noise. It’s just a really poorly designed acoustically horrible place to try and have a meal and a conversation. Our server could not hear us from across the table. Such a shame because otherwise it was a very good meal.

Very good food and very pleasant atmosphere. Our server was a little snippy. She seemed to have poor social skills. My husband ordered a gin martini cold and dirty. He received a vodka martini. We both tried it , and having been around a martini or two, were sure it wasn’t gin. My husband drank it anyway, as it wasn’t that big a deal, but when he ordered a second, he mentioned it and asked her to be sure it was gin. She brought the second and then said “the bartender is positive the first was gin”. Regardless of what the bartender thought, that wasn’t really necessary. She coulda just kept quiet rather than insisting we were wrong. But the real kicker was when we ordered the first one, she said “blue cheese olives with that?” So he said “sure”. When the bill came, we were charged $2/per drink for the olives. It woulda been nice if she’d said there was an upcharge for the garnish. Tacky to charge for the olives and obnoxious not to say anything.

Four of use stopped mid-afternoon for an early evening meal. We dined outside with a beautiful view of the surroundings. We dined on a variety of dishes including barbecued ribs that were delicious as well as a Kale and Brussels sprout salad and rotisserie chicken mac and cheese dinner. “Becky” gave us great service.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on a snowy weekday evening. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was wonderful. I had the tomato soup and Rocky Mountain Bolognese, both of which were delicious. Prices were not cheap, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. We would absolutely visit again.

little bit to the south end of the main drag of downtown. Small place - but really good. Menu is not large but covers all the bases: steak, pork, fish, poultry, pasta. had one of the best pieces of salmon i have ever had. was grilled to perfection and seasoned expertly. friendly staff - attentive and reasonably prompt. when back in the area i will eat here again

I have a group of 15 friends that do happy hour every week. This week we chose Tavern West in Frisco, Colorado. From the moment we entered the restaurant, Devon , the hostess fought us every step of the way. We spotted 2 tables of 6 behind the bar and split into 2 groups. Devon told us we could not add chairs from the bar to our ables to accommodate our size group since we were 3 seats short. She was very nasty to our group. At this point we were thinking about switching venues to Vinny's for happy hour since is was very apparent that Devon was going to stick to her guns. Enter David our waiter. He found us the 3 additional seats and handled waiting on both tables. Thank goodness for David or you would have lost our business for good. The hostess needs to be replaced or at least taught some manners. All she had to do was say wait a minute and we will see how we can accommodate your group. She was very biligerant and because of her attitude, our group will not be returning this summer. Several members of our group are personal friends of the owner which is why we selected this restaurant. The food and drinks were very good and David saved the day otherwise 15 people were ready to walk and never come back.

We were here on a cold snowy night but thrilled to be celebrating my daughter's birthday. Our waitress was in a festive mood right along with us and it made our evening that more enjoyable. Don't pass by the grilled carrots as a starter ... One of the most flavorful and delightful items I've enjoyed in awhile. The tater tots were also light and tasty. We all had the salmon and it was delicious; however, a bit too salty for my liking. Get the carrots!

Restaurant is towards I70 end of Main. Busy, with a lovely atmosphere. Fire burning in the corner, warm and welcoming. Servers very attentive. Food is ways good here, mid range, although eating out has become more expensive in Frisco as everywhere else! Always visit here when in Frisco.

For 4 years, Tavern West has been our go to restaurant for family special occasions and celebrations with friends. When I booked my reservation, I was not told their heater is broken. We were sat next to a drafty window. The tiny heater that was about 10 feet away was no help so we sat with our coats on. It was 15 degrees outside. Thankfully our food was good and we had one of my favorite waiters. However, management should have told me in advance about the heat and acknowledged it during our meal. Even a comped dessert would have helped.
