I have been here several times and am never disappointed. It seems they have have another major change in the kitchen but, the quality is still spot on. The one improvement that I thought should have been done long ago is the point of sale...(where you pay) is upfront now instead of at the end where it was. Now you do not have to carry your plate, dig in your pocket, then find a table. The flow is much better. The people behind the counter serving are client centric. This has never changed and makes the dining experience a true delight. ( See what I did there ? ) After the point of sale you have a salad station with two choices an apple salad , in my opinion, to die for and the best I have ever had plus a green salad. The next station is usually four or five soup choices each unique and each heaven. The final station is bread and dessert. At each station you may have how much you want and the option to return for more. Each station is locally sourced and sustainable as is possible. They care about the environment and the wholesomeness of the food they prepare. What is NOT to like. I really enjoy each visit. If you haven't been, a first time visitor to the city, or have been many times this is one place not to miss. Keep up the good work Foco Cafe !More

The FoCo Café is not only a great place to have a delicious lunch; you are helping others who may not be able to afford a meal. This restaurant allows patrons to pay it forward, by volunteering your time and talents or paying a bit...extra to help out a patron who may not be able to eat that day. The food is delicious and at the same time you are doing a good deed for the community.More

Pay-what-you-can concept seems to be highly successful here. Menu is based on locally available, seasonal food and it's always excellent. Love that it's a nonprofit, too. Such a warm inviting atmosphere--and good food!

I love FoCo Cafe! I went there yesrerday for lunch and had the soup flight. I got four different kinds of soup and all of them were delicious! I think my favorite was the cheese and green chili soup. The atmosphere in the cafe is...always positive. I was welcomed at the door, got great service from David behind the counter and got to listen to live music as I ate. Above all, I love seeing such a diverse group of customers. I usually go there for business meetings. FoCo Cafe is a place where everyone can dine together in a friendly and awesome space.More

Ever since 2014, I've been coming here ever since the week that the original owners (Jeff and Kathleen) opened the Café --modeled after the nonprofit SAME Café in Denver-- and I've always found here the best food, best atmosphere (quiet guitar), the best service, and...with the most laudable purpose. Nearly all restaurants are established to turn a profit --except this one is unique in drawing customers into the charitable 'pay-what-you're able' mode (or 'pay-it-forward'). After slurping up any one of Jeremy's fabulous soups (four per day, which change daily!), and given the option to refill, it's impossible not to be thankful! Added to the mix is the 'freedge' (donated breads, veggies, fruits) on the porch, plus their warm congenial staff, this is THE place to be! Keep up the good work!More

I thought that the cooking here may be something like what you would get at a family get together, with mixes of foods not expertly cooked but decent enough to give a nod at. The food here is excellent. The soups/croqs have a deep and...satisfying flavor and texture that I would expect to find at an upscale restaurant. The salads are fresh and light, just the way they should be. The bread has the perfect moisture and crumble at the same time. If you want a great local meal that is physically and soulfully heart warming, this is the place to be.More

Foco Cafe is a place for all people. It's probably the freshest and healthiest food in town, where guests set their price. The menu changes often, always offering something for everyone (vegan, meat lovers, gluten free, vegetarian, etc.). There's also aspects of the cafe that...help those in need with basic survival needs and encourage people to cook using fresh and local produce. I highly recommend a visit, you don't know unless you try!More

A friend suggested we meet here for lunch and 'do a little good'. What a fabulous concept! This small cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, is spotless, and serves GREAT FOOD! Great selection of soups, fresh salads....I had the Seafood Chowder...some of the BEST I've...EVER had! AND, if you can't afford much, you don't have to pay much. It is purely a DONATION LUNCH. I always like to PAY IT FORWARD, so left a bit. You can also DONATE some of your extra veggies (have a garden that overproduces????), bring it here!! Lovely idea, friendly folks, GOOD FOOD!!!More

All the food is fresh!! This is a community cafe so it's on a donation program! You pay what you can, pay normal price or volunteer!! I love the idea! The wife and I had lunch here, the food was excellent!! You can even get...seconds but eve me being the hearty eater I am could only have one plate full!! It's a little hard to find and we live here in Fort Collins and never knew about it!! We will be returning often to help support our community!!!More
