We were excited by all of the Middle Eastern restaurant choices in Fort Collins. This is a pretty safe choice, but not terribly exciting.
I wasn't crazy about my falafel sandwich - the bread encasing the falafels was more a tortilla than I had expected....I never know whether to expect a pocket pita or a flatbread style pita. This was neither. We had ordered a side of pickles and olives. Adding those to the sandwich made it flavorful.
The garlic eggplant appetizer (Fried w/ Garlic, lemon juice, parsley, vinegar & sumac) is just perfect - next time, I will get the eggplant as a sandwich. I think that would work better than the falafel did.
I ordered the "mint lassi" to drink. The waiter did not want to serve it to me thinking I wouldn't like it. Well, it is a favorite of mine - though this was actually ayran. Lassi is, to me, Indian. Ayran is similar but Middle Eastern. This was a bottled product, not housemade. But delicious and perfect for this food.
The service on our one visit was a bit begrudging. We were there just after the lunch rush, which might be why.
All in all - not a bad meal, but there are so many choices out there. This would not be on my repeat list.More
