We found this out of the way place after a Rams men's basketball game. We were the last people to come in. The food we had was terrific! Baba Ganouj, Lentil Soup and the Chicken Kabob chef's plate- all tasted great. They do not serve...alcohol and I am not sure they allow BYOB. We will visit again for freshly prepared mediterranean dishes.More

We moved away for 4 years and recently moved back. When we first went, it was run by a husband and wife. The service was quick and friendly and the food was tasty. Fast forward to today (Oct. 8, 2021), and what a complete letdown....I don't know who took it over, but the service was practically non-existent, the wait was forever, and the food was meh at best. Our waiter seemed to be bored. We waited for what felt like close to an hour. We were about to get up and leave when they finally delivered our order. Then we had to wait for them to bring us our utensils. I ordered a chicken hummus plate. The chicken was lukewarm, and it wasn't even good. How can you mess up chicken?! the garlic sauce was awful. I also had to wait for them to bring me the pita that was supposed to come with it. Our entire dining experience was a disappointment. We won't go back. Don't waste your time going here. Unless you like being disappointed and eating meh food.More

I decided I would stop for a gyro, but once parking the car was confronted by an open and dirty dumpster area. I went inside, and there was a waiter wandering around on his cell phone, and a guy holding a menu while staring out...the window. I stood there for a while, and eventually gave up. Looks like it could be a good place.More

This is actually a repeat visit for me. I had a very positive experience first time around but wanted to see if this place was consistent. I am very happy to report that the food was as delicious today as the first time I came....I ordered a vegetarian platter at lunch and an extra pita .... I ate all of it. The atmosphere is very nice the music is good although a little loud and the wait time for the food was very short. I will definitely be back.More

Sitting here now, being ignored by the waiter. I'm the only one in the restaurant. Took 45 minutes to get lamb kabobs, which were ok, but far too over-cooked. Baba ghanouj had none of that smoky, savory taste, like the eggplant was cooked in an...oven. Finally, got the waiter's attention to fill my water glass.More

I was excited to try Petra. The place looks and smells like it should. We hit it at lunch time and it was slow. Food was good but not a great . If the office wanted to go again I would say yes, but I...would not keep this one in my date night list.More

I was visiting my daughter at CSU and she got out late from playing in the band for a volleyball game. We got to the grill about 15 or 20 minutes before they were supposed to close. Realizing it was so late, we asked if...it was too late to get a bite. They said no problem, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. At no time during our meal did we feel rushed. So they kept the place open just for us. The food was great and the service was superb. We will definitely come back.More

I spotted this place last visit and was hoping to get a chance to try. We were not disappointed. The food was prepared very well. We reached ordered different dishes, hummus, chicken, lamb, falafel and they were all perfectly prepared. My daughter hadn't tried this...type of food, but is now a huge fan. Putting it on the "must go back to frequently" list.More

I ate here on a Sunday by myself and enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the beef shawarma and it was tasty. The young boy who helped me was charming and smart.

The food was fresh made on site from the humus to the falafel. We were both hungry and ordered an appetizer of humus and vegetables, the waitress confirmed that it was made at the restaurant and it tasted fresh made. I had the gyro, no...bread, and a side of rice, nice level of spice and a good rich flavor. my husband had the kabobs, the marinade was excellent with amazing flavor. The service was good and over all a very pleasant dinning experience.More

I got the impression they could care less if we were there or not. The food was not bad, roasted cauliflower and fried eggplant were very good. The Lebanese delight was very good, however the lack of service ho hum attitude was concerning.

My daughter and I took a lunch break from our holiday shopping and went for the first time to the nearby Petra Grill. The restaurant is located near other eateries popular with Colorado State University students. Since CSU was having its break between semesters, we...weren’t surprised to be the first lunch customers at noon. The menu has many interesting Mediterranean foods. We ordered fairly familiar sounding dishes. My daughter had the Chicken Shawarma plate which included thinly sliced chicken with rice & salad. I had the Lamb Kabob plate which had two skewers of seasoned & marinated lamb with rice & salad. This plate also had a spicy white sauce that added a real zing to the lamb. Our lunches were very flavorful and made filling meals. I would like to try some more of the interesting sounding dishes on a return visit to the Petra Grill.More

We were excited by all of the Middle Eastern restaurant choices in Fort Collins. This is a pretty safe choice, but not terribly exciting. I wasn't crazy about my falafel sandwich - the bread encasing the falafels was more a tortilla than I had expected....I never know whether to expect a pocket pita or a flatbread style pita. This was neither. We had ordered a side of pickles and olives. Adding those to the sandwich made it flavorful. The garlic eggplant appetizer (Fried w/ Garlic, lemon juice, parsley, vinegar & sumac) is just perfect - next time, I will get the eggplant as a sandwich. I think that would work better than the falafel did. I ordered the "mint lassi" to drink. The waiter did not want to serve it to me thinking I wouldn't like it. Well, it is a favorite of mine - though this was actually ayran. Lassi is, to me, Indian. Ayran is similar but Middle Eastern. This was a bottled product, not housemade. But delicious and perfect for this food. The service on our one visit was a bit begrudging. We were there just after the lunch rush, which might be why. All in all - not a bad meal, but there are so many choices out there. This would not be on my repeat list.More
