Since moving to the area in December 2020 we have tried many restaurants (pandemics make it a little challenging to explore—“to go” being the primary option at most restaurants for awhile). We have eaten at Rare a couple of times, always with excellent service and...dining experience.More

The service was excellent, food preparation performed flawlessly and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. I was in the mood for good pasta and I wasn’t disappointed! Definitely will come back if I’m ever in town again.

I've been visiting RARE Italian before, during, and through the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have always strived to make the situation as close to NORMAL as possible; Obviously tough for them. Now that most restrictions have been eased, I am glad to...report that RARE has not lost ANY of its sparkle! Dinner tonight was awesome! I started with their Summer Sweet Corn Zuppa. OMG! Before ordering I asked the staff if it was too sweet and they assured me it wasn't. They were right on! RARE's interpretation of this sweet corn soup is clean, beautiful, and cares deeply for the ingredients used. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS; I know I will again. I followed the Zuppa with their delicate stuffed pasta. This was a subtle provision of walnuts, peas, ricotta, and delicate pasta, which enveloped the beautiful contents. Have this soon. All of the wines offered by Emily worked perfectly with each bite. Can't wait to have both of these items again.More

We had the most charming server, Caleb. He was informative and friendly. We also noticed other servers visiting with the customers. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back!

From the moment we walked in we recognized this is a special place. Service was excellent. Great foodie options. Good wine list. This was our best meal in Colorado on this trip.

I expected more after hearing from a local friend how great it was. We went during the snowfall, the restaurant was empty, yet we were asked if we had a reservation . Service slow, waiter friendly, but he was also the bartender. We waited 30...min for an app and a pizza. The menu was not impressive. Italian choices were pretty average, So we got the pizza and an app because nothing popped off the menu. Restaurant ambience was nice, though.More

Love this place! Been here several times - it’s my go-to for Italian food in fort collins. Highly recommend the tagliatelle bolognese pasta.

We liked this place a lot. The interior is sleek, and the patio is great for people watching. Many good Italian choices and steaks. The anti pasta looked great. Our salads were fresh and tasty, and our pizza was excellent. Great happy hour specials. Good...service. Excellent gluten-free options. Highly recommendedMore

Driving back cross country from Tennessee t Port Angeles Wa. from visiting my 90 yr old mom , day two had me in Fort Collins Colorado. Sunday night 9 pm usually gets you very little quality , well not what I got , I got...the best Chicken Parm sandwich , and chocolate torte I may have ever tasted . The service was awesome from the hostess that greeted me , the manager that spoke to me and my server who made great suggestions for me , all first class and quality like the food . I urge you to give this place a try if you are ever in Fort Collins . Thanks for making this tired travelers night so much better ❣️More

Went with friends for a special dinner, but it was just okay. Service was mediocre and food uninspiring especially the clam linguine which was full of garlic, very watery and no flavor. Only one in four enjoyed their dinner. Different kinds of pasta, but so-so...sauces. The stuffed pork was good and a large portion with green beans and polenta. Really wanted to like this restaurant as it’s locally owned, but just okay.More

I was very pleased with the stuffed pork chop and thought the portion was plenty. Not overly expensive and good service. I will gladly return in the future

It had been close to a year since we had eaten at this restaurant as previous visit was just ok. This time much different. We shared a pizza, salad and dessert. They make the dough in house daily, excellent if you like Italian style pizza....The dessert chocolate torte with vanilla gelato was fantastic. I cannot day enough about the great service. We will be back. Thank you!!!!More

Excellent food ....although a bit pricey. Ambience outside is outstanding. They have many homemade sausages, and make their cheese there. Homemade limoncello!

I lived in northern Italy for five years, and dining at Rare is like going home. The food is just wonderful, and the waitstaff if excellent. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
