Been meaning to write this for a while - visited Nuance in the Fall of '19 and was simply blown away by the service, the quality and the wide selections. The time that the staff took to explain 'who Nuance is' and 'what is important...to them' was so impressive, and done in a way that did not at all 'speak down' to me. It was simply informative and educational. And the products (truffles) were simply amazing. Great taste and flavors. Nothing overwhelming. Was able to taste not only the chocolate but the complementary flavors as well.More

I am absolutely appalled by the way we were treated at Nuance Chocolate tonight. As a long time resident of Fort Collins I was very excited to bring a few friends to try out Nuance Chocolate for the first time. It was 7:40 pm when...we arrived and we listened to their very lengthy spiel about their special chocolates. After making a significant purchase we proceeded to sit down to enjoy our coffee and treats. It was obvious that they were closing at 8pm so we tried to finish up quickly. It was not even 10 min. after 8pm when what looked like the owner or manager walked up to us and told us we needed to leave because he was going home. This is a totally unacceptable way to treat a paying customer. We hadn't even finshed our drink and had the very overpriced chocolates mostly eaten on our plates. I could have understood if we were lingering an hour after their closing time but that was not the case. When a restaurant or cafe closes at 8pm you don't literally kick them out at 8:10! You wait until they are finished and be grateful for thier business. At the very least you could have told us that you were closing soon and that you don't allow anyone inside after the stroke of 8pm and explain that you would serve the drink in a to-go cup and bag up the chocolates.More

If you love chocolate (especially dark chocolate), this is a must-visit if you're in the Ft. Collins area. They make their own chocolate from bean to bar, and most (all?) of their products feature single origin chocolate. Chocolate tasting is $10/person - there are several...different combinations of chocolate to sample. There are five different chocolates, served with a few crackers so you can cleanse your palate between chocolates. Interesting and fun, especially with a small group of people. After we tried their sipping chocolate - heavy cream mixed with ground dark chocolate. It was a 4 oz serving, which sounds small, but it was SO rich that it was really all that we could eat. There is a pretty large selection of single origin chocolate bars for sale as well as house-made truffles and chocolate candy. Definitely worth a stop!More

We tried four different truffles, and they were all excellent. My husband and I were impressed by the depth of knowledge Nuance's staff had about the origin of the chocolates, the small-batch creation of the chocolates and the huge variety of truffles, chocolate bars and...beverages available.More

On Saturday, 30th March, 2019 I visited Nuance Chocolate for the second time this month. Two weeks earlier was my first time after four years hearing about this place. I wish I had gone earlier. The main reason that kept me from going earlier was...I heard that it was expensive. It is but well worth the money and every single penny spent ! On this visit I had recommendations that were fantastic.I bought chocolates for three people. Two will get a very nice surprise and I am enjoying some also. One of the recommendations was the toffee truffle. My wait person suggested that this be paired with a cup of coffee. WOW ! Was he totally right. The coffee kick started all the rich flavors of the toffee. He even let me taste Theo's Brew which is cacao beans roasted and ground like coffee. I am very excited to return as I want to have the toffee truffle with a mixture of Theo's Brew and Coffee. This place has to be one of Fort Collins hidden treasures. If you live here as I do, please go. If you are visiting from out of state or town GO. You will not be disappointed. I absolutely love this place. The chocolates are so much better than Godiva and the people there are knowledgeable and very helpful.More

This is REAL chocolate as it was intended. Try the flights of taste treats for couples, then try a hot chocolate. [they have coffee too] Fresh, natural no preservatives, 70% cacao is the base for most of the bars. This is a Bean to Bar...small batch producer - they do it all right there in the shop. They have an extensive variety of different cacao beans from around the world. The result we get to taste the amazing different essences, much like tasting fine wines.. The smell is worth the trip alone. Friendly and helpful staff. We learned so much about chocolate. Handicap accessible.More
