We Went to The Back Porch with friends for Brunch !.. What a very nice place - I guess it once was a house, converted into this spacious & with many different rooms restaurant. We ordered quiche, fruit, creamed beef, burritos.... ALL So Good ! Biscuits were great ! One room displayed knitting & yarn created projects - so amazing.... More

I've been dining at the Back Porch for several years and found the food just average. However, since Aaron and staff introduced the new menu this spring there has been a noticeable increase in the quality of the food. My favourites are the grilled Rueben and Cobb Salad. The staff have always provided exceptional service: friendly, accommodating and quick and... More

While chain restaurants can be "reliable", they can also be predictably bland. The Back Porch Cafe is anything but bland. The atmosphere has a peaceful "cottage"/farmhouse feel to it and the food looked and tasted like it was prepared by my grandma...and grandma could cook circles around Gordon Ramsey. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you're dining... More

Last minute decision for breakfast and I was not disappointed! The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out quick, hot, and tasty! Get the biscuits and gravy!

You feel like you are eating in your grandmothers kitchen. The restaurant is a renovated home. If you are interested in yarn they also have a great selection of knitting yarn in another part of the restaurant. Food is great and plenty of it. The coffee is out of this world and fresh to order.

I've come here many times on a Saturday morning for some down-home breakfast cooking. There's typically a wait when we go (usually around 9AM), but never more than 15 minutes or so. The food is good and the wait staff are super friendly. Nice "local" place to bring family for sure. The potatoes can be a little salty, so I... More

It has a unique atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Food was great and I had the B.C.E. Omelet quesadilla which I would highly recommend. If you're in the area and looking for something local instead of endless national or regional chains, then this is highly recommended. Two thumbs up and a full stomach here.

After church on a Sunday, and there were six of us, including two little people. The Cafe is actually the back part of a sewing and yarn shop. The food service began as an outgrowth of a few pies. Now whole pies are available for take out. All baking and all smoked meat is prepared in house, and all dishes... More

The Back Porch has it all, great food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere,. Love to sit in their garden seating when weather is nice. The waitstaff is spot on friendly, fast and efficient. Food is yummy with tons of different, tasty creations. And then there are the drinks from A to Z. This place has it all.

Just had breakfast here...absolutely delicious and filling to boot. I had the special, which was a delicious veggie benedict, my husband had the biscuit breakfast. Both were tasty and plenty to keep us full until dinner. The service was good and attentive. We will definitely be back.

The Backporch Café, established in 1997 by Mike Cooper, was originally a small pie and coffee shop called "Sweetie Pie." After purchasing "Sweetie Pie," Mike reached out to his regulars for suggestions. The name Backporch Café was the one that stuck out. At the time, the area everyone knows as our main dining room was actually a deck that provided outdoor seating. Our indoor seating was available at our bar top or in the back room by our neighboring shop "Lamb Spun." So the name "Backporch Café" seemed a suitable name. At the Backporch Café, we take pride in delivering to our guests our own homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, muffins, biscuits, pies, hamburger buns, dinner rolls, and quiches from our bakery. Where still to this day, owner Mike Cooper bakes from scratch all of these favorites. We even work tirelessly on feeding and keeping our own starter alive. Aside from bringing you fresh baked goods, we smoke all our own meats from pulled pork, pork chops, and pork ribs to chicken and sometimes salmon. We also make our own breakfast sausage and chorizo sausage. It can be a daily chore, but we find it to be well worth it. Even the green chili everyone loves to smother their favorite breakfast items in is made in house daily. We take pride in what we do and want our guests to have the best we can provide, not only in food, but in service as well. Thank you for dining with us. We hope you enjoy!
