A small treasure of gastronomic joy

Fort Collins is so vey lucky to have this Creole/Cajun restaurant in its mix of desirable restaurants. Unique in its style, quaint in its small home setting, with quick, friendly servers. There's always a line outside, even when the temps are in the 20s, so what does that say about the quality of... read more

This is the most authentic cajun food you'll get in Colorado! I lived in Louisiana for a few years and their chickory coffee sends me right back to the South. Great food! Make sure you get there early on the weekend if you don't want to be at the back of the pack.

Lucile's is the only place in Gy Collins where you can get Lousiana-type food -- think beignets and dark rich coffee. They have generous portions of excellent breakfasts and lunches. There is also an outdoor patio open in the summers. Luciles is in a smsll clapboard Old Town house so it is quite charming. The only drawback to Lucile's is... More

I had to write this review. Buddy of mine took me here for breakfast when I was visiting - shrimp and grits was the special and it was hands down the best breakfast (possibly best meal) I have ever eaten

We decided to try something different for breakfast so we stopped at Lucile's. We had a great server who was quick, friendly and knew the product. Our food was all delicious and the portions were huge. The building was a little tight, and there was a line to get in when we left, but the food was so good that... More

This is just a gem in the middle of FoCo. The dishes are Louisiana! I love the farmers eggs and the Harlin county. The biscuits and the red beans are money! Get there early and yes it is worth the wait.

I'd go back just for the cornbread and home made jellies, but the rest of what we ordered was pretty good too (Salmon and Gumbo)! Interesting atmosphere and very busy when we went over lunch on a Tuesday.

I came to Lucille's with a few friends for brunch one morning because I was told about the great food. We waited for about 20 or 30 minutes before we managed to get a table (this was around 10:30 am on a Saturday). That being said, the service was great. Our orders were taken right away and coffee and water... More

Saturday morning was likely not the ideal day to visit Lucille's as it was packed. Our breakfast was delicious though and I would definitely go back next time I am in Fort Collins - just not on a weekend.

In the 90's I lived a block away from Lucile's and would stop there regularly for their amazing hot chocolate and pain perdu or rice pudding porridge on very cold days. A dear friend who had been to New Orleans many, many times felt the food was just as good and very authentic. Fast forward to nearly 20 years later... More
