The food was good, but I hoped for more Nepalese options than the three meals listed. The momos were good with a delicious dipping sauce. Good chai. They were out of naan and understaffed, though the staff was kind and helpful.

Lovely people, great service, wonderful food. The saag appetizer is amazing. Also the garlic naan, Himalayan curry and chicken tikka masala. I also love the eggplant curry. You can order the dishes, hot, medium and mild. I cannot take the hot spices, so mild is...just right. I sound like goldilocks; sorry. I simply love everything I have eaten here. The other lovely touch is white linen tablecloths and napkins. Do yourself a favor and try this delicious restaurant.More

The food was absolutely superb, and the employees were very friendly as well! If you’re looking for authentic dishes in a quiet atmosphere, this is the perfect place. Definitely coming back here whenever we get around next.

Love everything about this place -- the food, service, atmosphere. Let's start with food. You start with a bowl of authentic dal soup, super flavorful and hot. The menu is not extensive, which is a good thing. It's obvious they focus on quality. Good serving...sizes. Super tasty basmati rice. Recommend the chicken tika masala, the veggie dishes are all fantastic (especially the eggplant). Naan is perfect with slightly crispy outside and soft inside. I spent time living in Nepal and was super happy to find this place owned by Nepalese Sherpas.More

Nice atmosphere. Just re-opened due to pandemic. Excellent food with much too large portions. Great garlic Naan

This has been one of our go to places during COVID and I’m quickly becoming a big fan. The meals are delicious. We’ve had this about four or five times now and try to choose at least one different thing each time. The tandoori shrimp...is quickly becoming a favorite along with the lamb korma and garlic naan bread. The samosas and dumplings are great too. One time they were out of chutney and the owner called and apologized to us and asked if they could send something else. What great service. Would highly recommend this place.More

I’m a fan of Indian cuisine and Northern Colorado has limited options. The Himalayan Bistro is all about diverse options and a strong bar (40 miles from Wyoming). Give it a try; or don’t. I will be their patron for years to come! P.S. the...wait staff are great people, be pleasant to them or stay out of my town.More

I received a gift certificate to this restaurant. Normally it’s not a restaurant my husband and I would go to, as we usually prefer American-style food, but we were pleasantly surprised! We really like sitting at the bar and they have a very nice bar...with backs on the bar stools. They have a limited beer selection but my husband found an APA on tap that he enjoyed and I found a canned beer I like. The food was fantastic! So flavorful and delicious. We had the dumplings (half chicken, half beef) and the lamb stew. The naan bread and dal (lentil) soup were excellent as well. It was a bit of a wait to get our food but worth it. My husband was concerned it might be a place where we sit on cushions on the floor, but we were pleased to discover they had normal tables and chairs and bar stools. The service was very good. Friendly bartender. They split the stew for us as we like to share everything. We ordered two entrées and it was way too much food for the two of us. They had very nice take-home containers so the stew wouldn’t spill. Some aluminum foil for the naan. And a nice container for the dumplings. The bartender even added a little container of sauce for the dumplings - nice touch. We would definitely go back.More

Our daughter took us to the Himalayan Bistro in Fort Collins, Colorado during our recent visit there. We were kind of hesitant to go in there but curiosity got the better of us. Where else would you ever get the opportunity to try food that...is indigenous to countries close to the majestic Himalayan mountains. We ordered for appetizers Vegetable Samosa and Shrimp Pakoda followed by Himalayan Curry with Naan, and to top it all off Thenduk, a homemade stew and a favorite of Tibetans. Now excepting for Samosas we have never had any of the aforementioned dishes before so we had no benchmark to compare these dishes with. But after a few bites we realized that we were eating something special and was quite pleasing to the palate. The flavors were tantalizing and frankly speaking " it was surprisingly good" and satisfying. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone anytime.More

The lunch menu has items that don't exist for dinner. The Nepali Thali Vegan plate was outstanding as was the coconut curry. Our waitress Ellen was as delightful as the food. The Momo's are handmade and delicious. This is a new favorite that reminds me...of great places in New York and London.More

I believe there are gluten free options but calling or messaging them on Facebook might be a good idea.
