This place used to be great. I am not sure what happened if they changed ownership, but the last two times I went there I was sick for two days with vomit and fever.

Chicago Dog, what else. We have never had a bad dog at this place. Cathy, Jose and Felipe were great. It's a really Cute place where the people are friendly and the dogs are great.. They also have a loyalty program and a map that...shows all the visitors from all over the area of Chicago. I WOULD recommend you going there.More

Hands down the best Chicago style restaurant in Denver!!! Every time we go it feels like home. They have all the goods, pizza, hot dogs, polish dogs, Italian beef, PIZZA PUFFS, gyros! you name it. I dont know what it is but being a Chicago...native.... the Vienna Beef sign melts my heart every time i see it. I have tried other Chicago joints in Denver but Chicago Mike's is hands down the best!More

I'm from the Chicago burbs and grew up eating mostly at Steve's in Lombard, Portillo's (lots of locations) and Mr. Beef in the city on N Orleans St so I've got Chicago sandwiches in my DNA. I started going to Chicago Mike's when Jan and...Dean (original owners) ran the place...they were from Chicago so no surprise they knew what they were doing. The 'new guys' running the place have it pretty well figured out, too (except for dropping Coke for Pepsi :) My wife and I stopped in on a weekday; she ordered the gyro, I ordered the Philly cheesesteak (my mom grew up in Philly, my dad on the South Side). One fun thing to do while waiting is look at the collection of Sox and Cubs baseball cards on the north wall. If you can slide into one of those booths, do so. Our orders took about 10 minutes, even at the busy lunch rush. Usually I order a few Chicago dogs or an Italian beef, but a cheesesteak sounded tasty. It was piled w beef and schrooms plus melted provolone (I had to request this vs mozarella). My wife's gyro had a decent amount of meat, chopped red onions (she prefers white or yellow), ripe, sweet tomatoes and LOTS of feta cheese. If we had to throw shade the gyro meat was kinda dry and my wife likes more taziki sauce, but it was an easy ask to get more. As much as I liked my cheesesteak, it was borderline too much provolone (if there is such a thing). But the beef and schrooms were tender. I saw other reviews dissing the fries, but we've always found them to be crispy, salted nicely. Now and again the hot dog buns are a bit stale, but the French rolls they use for beefs and cheesesteaks are crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. If I'm near Centennial Chicago Mike's is my go to; if I'm west in Lakewood, Chicago Style on W. Colfax is my go to. Both do a great job w the classics like dogs, polish, beefs (wet!!)...and have side stuff like Fannie May candy, Jays chips.More

This was as authentic as I have had in Denver. The Chicago dog was spot on and I KNEW the Italian Beef would be good when they asked if I wanted it wet.

I was craving a Chicago Dog, and found the perfect spot! This place was delicious! I've lived in Chicago, and the dogs here are very comparable. Great prices, too!

After living in Chicago for 11 years, finally food a place with Pizza Puffs. Being a Chicago native, I love pizza puffs!! Chicago Mikes not only offers this yum yum, but the food is so authentic! There are a few places that offer what they...call "Chicago Style" but Chicago Mikes is legit! Everything tasted exactly how it should! From the pizza puffs to the hot dogs, to the Italian beef to the fries! This is our new go to every time we are in Denver. I just wish we lived closer!!More

We were driving around and stopped in mostly because we saw the Vienna Beef sign. When we walked in we were struck by how authentic it felt. The entire place and feel is that of a traditional chicago hot dog joint. So we decided to...order. Everything. The buns, the condiments, the meat. Perfect. If someone had given me that without knowing where it came from I'd have said it was a chicago place. The food is legit. Tasted just like back home. We had an Italian beef and 3x hot dogs.More

Variety - I went to Chicago Mike's at their old location just down the road about a year ago and finally came to their new location recently. Their new location is directly across the street from my work on Arapahoe Rd. We came here the...day before Christmas Eve and it seemed it was a popular day to come here. I ordered cheese fries because I was craving them and who doesn't love cheese fries?! We ordered a basket to share and it was $5.35 (slightly pricey) but they were pretty dang good. The fries were definitely my favorite part. I ordered a Chicago dog also and it was just okay; it had decent flavor but just wasn't my favorite. When I go back I want to try a plain hot dog or something other than the Chicago dog to see if I like something else better. They also have pizzas, salads, sandwiches and Italian beef. Inside, Chicago Mike's is pretty small, definitely no room for big groups. Most of the tables are for 2 or 4 people. I know this location probably receives a lot of business person traffic so there isn't much need for more seating. They do have a self serve soda and tea station where the cups are at. They offer mustard and ketchup on the side. I did notice that children eat free on week days I believe with the purchase of an adult entree. They also do have a reward program that you can sign up for with your phone number and email but said it could take 1-2 months to register (extremely long to register for a reward??). Not my favorite but I'd be back for some cheese fries.More

Was in the area and thought I'd go back again. I had the chili chees dog with tots. Friendly service and the food was good.
