This is a place dreams are made of. We didn't end up sitting down at a table top as we were about to get on the road home, but I stopped in to grab some items to go. The selection was incredible, the ambiance just amazing. I couldn't narrow my want list so I ended up buying several different pastries.... More

Service was OK, young guy friendly not not very knowledgeable, but was able to get us a good glass of French wine. The Crab bisque is a joke, lots of cream and imitation crab ( really), not even close to authentic and at $12 a real rip off. Also cheese plate was overpriced at $20. The place is over priced... Thought the food was good, the bakery items good as well, however it wasn't Wow like we expected from the review and the prices. The atmosphere is clean and French cafe feel. The service was also just average..not over friendly nor attentive. Would go back for bakery items to go, but won't eat here agaim.

French baking at its best. Unfortunately, the prices are very high. Nevertheless, this is a must on our trips to and from Durango. Whether it is breakfast or just grabbing some pastries to have later in your day, we recommend this place.

Jean Pierre's Bakery and Restaurant are in the heart of Durango. On the corner of the main intersection of town. Their bakery is well known for wonderful treats. But the restaurant is in a class by itself. Excellent wines and desserts compliment the superb dishes. Beautiful surroundings, and the owners can usually be found greeting you.

Stopped in one day for a chocolate croissant. They had a variety of other pastries. I might try something other than the croissant next time I stop in. Did not a chance to try the restaurant.

We had the best meal and bread this side of France! The building is lovely...very romantic. The food was superb and we went back the next day for croissants and coffee. Yes, we have been to France and have had trouble finding good croissants here in the US. The wine was also excellent. We are looking forward to visiting again.... More

We were looking for someplace not too loud, but nice for dinner and stumbled into Jean Pierre. Good stumble. It is a pleasant french restaurant which serves the most amazing lobster/crab bisque. Husband had a steak topped with blue cheese and bacon and I had Beef bourguignon, both were fabulous. Emily our server was attentive and helpful. Overall it was... More

We shared a blueberry danish that was puffy and delish. Regular coffee okay, decaf weak (my usual complaint for cafes and restaurants, decaf drinkers want good tasting, not diluted coffee).

Wife and I went in for brunch looked like a cool place, had to wait 15 minutes to get a seat.....but nobody was in line..because they were short staffed I guess. Finally get a seat then waited...and waited just to get a glass of water. Watching the staff they were running everywhere, but they weren't very busy at all, one... More
