The service was great. The food was not. I had the Oscar, it lacked flavor. The dessert "chocolate avalanche "a combination of a very hard brownie with chocolate ice cream was nothing special. The price surpasses the quality of food served.

We had a great meal at the Mahogany Grille. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with all of the wood work and stained glass. The food was fantastic, but a little more costly than some of the other restaurants in town. Seemed like the wait staff was from the local college, so not much experience, but they were helpful and friendly.

A beautiful, historic dining room filled with handmade fixtures the likes of which you cannot find anymore. A very strong, locally sourced menu with a variety of interesting options. An excellent selection of cocktails. A nice children's menu for even the most finicky kid. And really nice, personal, engaging service. We had a very enjoyable dinner. Even the staff being... More

We were guests at the Hotel Strater where the Mahogany Grille is located. Breakfast in the Mahogany Grille is included in the room rate. The breakfast is good enough, but not noteworthy. Durango is not a gourmet town, and this restaurant fits right in

In the past, we had been to Mahogany Grill for dinner. The service was excellent and so was the food. Since we were pleased with our previous visit, we decided to go to the Easter Brunch. We had heard it was excellent. There were six of us and my husband and I were the first to arrive. We were seated... More

They have a good selection of breakfast food. We tried the Eggs Benedict with tomato and the pecan french bread. It was good, not over the top, but still good. The service was extremely slow.

A new and wide-ranging wine list supports a menu suitable for romantic dinner for two. Rich setting and some quiet corners even when business diners are on site.

Unfortunately our trip back to the Mahogany Grille after 10 years was was pretty blah. Hanna was friendly with a sense of humor, but the table attention seemed to suffer from a staff stretched thin. Two of four entrees were reported as very good. Steaks. The "Amber Jack" special advertised on the front marquee as tuna should have been a... More
