Quite crowded on a Tuesday evening in early October but we were seated in about 15 minutes. No real atmosphere in the area we sat; more like a café. Price of food was reasonable, but quite spicy (there was a note in the menu about spicy). We asked for chips and salsa while we waited for our meals and it... More

We have been there twice in the last few months now, great food and great service. Some of the best chips I've ever had and the queso cannot be skipped. Service is always top par, thanks Payton!

Being from San Diego and having traveled alot in Mexico we feel we know our Mexican food. This was a disappointment. Gals at the hotel desk suggested this place over the other Mexican restaurant on Main St. We were seated quickly and offered chips and salsa immediately. Our experience is that the first serving of chips and salsa are complimentary... More

Mexican food is ok and was very close to out hotel the Best Western Iron Horse Inn. Service was good. A bit cramped and a little over priced. Food is a bit spicy.

We have lived in Durango for 40 years. This is our "go to" restaurant. The food is great and hot enough to suit us. The gold margarita is the best, bar none. A huge plus is Sean O'Neil who is manager and wait person. He pays special attention to his customers and gives unsurpassed service. He is never intrusive but... More

Stopped by after hearing it was a local favorite. We could see that most were locals. Hannah could not have been more helpful...why can't all waitstaff be trained like this? Just had salsa, chips, gazpacho and taquitos....and the classic margaritas. We know Mexican food and margaritas...these were outstanding. Do yourself a favor and have the margarita...made with 100% agave...the only... More

Cute little place, close to the train station and to our hotel. Food is New Mexico style with green chiles, blue corn tortillas and sopapillas. Food was good and fairly inexpensive. Full bar. Lots of gluten free options. I got some good spicy food. Something I can't always get as most green sauces have gluten. We will go there again.

The hotel staff referred us to this restaurant when we asked about Mexican. My husband loves spicy Mexican and I can't take much heat. However, we both loved our food! They are willing to accommodate your personal tastes if you ask. We saw several Mexican restaurants and we were glad we picked this one.

We chose this restaurant based on favorable reviews from trip advisor but were disappointed. The beef tacos were bland and the chicken tacos too salty to eat. Both were served without sour cream or guacamole but were served with equally bland rice and beans. Fish tacos are only available on Fridays. Really? The classic margarita was good and the Durango... We are sorry to hear that your experience with us was disappointing. Fish tacos are only available on Fridays so that we are able to provide the freshest fish to our guests, which is no easy task in a land locked state. We hope that you will return to Gazpacho soon so that we can better serve you. More
