Lunch buffet is really great. Good selection of veggies meats and soup. Service is friendly and prompt. It is great to have something out of the ordinary.

I stopped in for the buffet lunch with a group of friends. The food was good (for example, there was one okra dish that was especially tasty), but we happened to arrive at a time when the buffet was a little depleted, and they were pretty slow to replenish things. So we sat through lunch eyeing the buffet so as... More

was in Durango, CO on business and decided to expand my eating horizons, as it were. decided to try the Yak Stew, and despite the obvious joke at saying Yak Stew, I must admit that it was one of the best meals I have eaten in 14 years of travel. this restaurant was easily in my top 5 places I... My wife and stopped here after a long day of activity. The restaurant very relaxing. I had the Vegetable Curry and it was outstanding, the best I've had. My wife had the Daal Maharani which was quite good as well. She would have preferred it to have a bit more 'pop' to it but that is a personal preference. We... More

Portions were smaller than we've typically had at this type restaurant and prices were higher. Quality and taste were outstanding but be prepared to pay resort town costs for what is usually affordable food.

So you have tried the brew pubs or the historic places in town and are looking for something different. The Himalayan kitchen is the place to go. The restaurant is located in old town and easy to find. The staff was friendly and right there for anything we needed. The good was very good and worth exploring when you are... More

The Himalayan Kitchen is located in the old town area of Durango and was a delightful surprise. I have been to India so I had a sense of what good Indian food should be and this place did not disappoint! For an appetizer definitely try the nan which is a warm, fresh style of Indian bread. It's a great accompaniment... More

Dining here made our recent visit to Durango even more memorable. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. I shared the Chicken Korma with my picky seven year old and she really liked it. My vegetarian teenager ordered the Saag Paneer and said it was the best she ever had. Husband ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and it was very tender... More
