My wife and I had returned mid-afternoon from Mesa Verde NP. We were tired and looking for a quick meal. Settled on Steamworks based on Trip Advisor ratings. Great choice. We had a couple of local brews and a pizza with a salad. Bar none,...the best house/dinner salad ever! I'm not sure of everything in it, but it started with mixed greens (no iceberg lettuce). We then shared a Muffuletta Pizza (small). It was great, not only in taste but in size. It was super. I don't know how else to say it. Service was great also.More

Great brewery in the center of Durango that offers great selection of food and beer (of course). We had a big group of both adults and teenagers and ordered from your typical brewery food (burgers, pizza, salads) to fish dinners. Everyone really enjoyed their meals...and the dessert (bacon muffin) was amazing too. The portions were quite big. Price were very reasonable for both food and drink. And service was very good, attentive and friendly. Would really recommend this place.More

We went back to this restaurant/bar today, for drinks and snacks. We had a snack and some of their famous COLORADO KOLCH beer. When we checked out, we found that we had an $8 credit from past purchases there. That was great. Though we didn’t...know about this program, we would have visited there anyway. Our server couldn’t explain this program, but when you put your bill on a CC, your discount is applied if you have visited before. This is an added reason to go to this place. Others include good service (perhaps not in rush hours) pre-pandemic food quality, and prices that are reasonable (by current Durango standards). This place is open fir lunch and dinner seven days a week it is very popular, so I recommend going there for lunch at 1:PM or later. For dinner, make it as late (or early) as you can. We have been Durango locals for a decade, and this is one of our favorite restaurants.More

We stopped for lunch but only had an appetizer and drinks. Had the lettuce wrap and it states breaded chicken. It was breaded chunks of chicken with shoestring carrots and pickles. The chicken was heavily breaded, overcooked and dry. My husband tried a flight of...beer and two he didnt finish. The service was great to bad the rest wasn't better.More

Hi Lori. We apologize for the chicken in your lettuce wraps being a bit overcooked. That is a very popular item we get consistently great feedback on, so it pains us to hear it was overcooked when you visited. As for the beer- it's unfortunate...More

My husband and I ate here because of a recommendation of a local while we were on vacation. The beer was great, with a variety of beers on tap. My husband had the stout and red ale, I had a seasonal sour, and they were...delicious. There is a good variety of food, which is priced reasonably. He had a calzone, I had the chimichanga. The portions were huge! The food was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. You could see the cooks in the back hand tossing pizza dough as we ate, which was entertaining. There was a wait as we went during dinner hour on a Sunday, but it was worth the wait. We will eat here again if we visit Durango again!More

We always eat here when we visit Durango and actually ate here twice this time. The menu has enough variety that even a picky kid can find something to make him happy. The food is consistently good, and the beer is cold. This time I...had the fish tacos were very good and the quinoa burger was maybe the best veggie burger I’ve ever had. Friendly service. Definitely recommend.More

Stopped off for lunch having read the good reviews and we weren’t disappointed. On arrival we were seated downstairs on the lower level. Service was very good but the only downside was that numerous items were not available. Which was a surprise given that it...was good Friday and you would have thought they would have been well stocked up. The food we ordered was very good the fish and brisket tacos were excellent and the kids enjoyed there chicken strips and sandwiches. Given it’s a brewery you’ll not be disappointed by the beer selection on offers, definitely recommend going for the 4 choice flight to get you started on choosing a suitable brew. We really enjoyed our visit, given it’s location it is a busy place so if your going you may have to wait to be seated.More

We had lunch, and had to wait about 10 minutes to get a patio table. The service was great. I had the gyro, which had nice gyro meat and a good tzatziki. The chicken-bacon-avocado sandwich was good, too. The beer selection was very good, and...we enjoyed an in-house made amber lager. This is a nice spot in downtown Durango.More

Loved the ambiance and the food was tasty. We sat right in the middle of the bar, on a not-so-crowded Sunday night and felt ignored for the first 10 minutes. Once we were noticed, we were given water, but took a while for beers. Food...was even longer.More

As Durango locals for the past decade, we had visited Steamworks several years back, but were not regulars there. This was probably because it always seemed crowded. We tried it again today, and we were impressed. For one basic thing, it is open for lunch...(many places here aren’t) and open on Mondays and Tuesdays (many others aren’t. Steamworks has a large and diverse menu while many other places here have greatly reduced choices. Service was prompt and friendly. Because the menu had so many different items, I was adventuresome and tried an Indonesian dish, while my wife opted for Southwest fare. Both were excellent. And it was nice to find a restaurant open for lunch on Tuesday! The only negative factor was the noise level inside. It wasn’t horrible. Just louder than we would prefer. However, this was only the result of adverse interior acoustics in the building.More
