Very casual western style place with the kitchen open to one of the dining areas. Seemed a bit cramped with the wait staff ordering drinks at a pass through window right behind my chair. Both had steaks which were good but the asparagus was tough and hard to eat. Corn bread shows up in a little iron skillet! Service was... More

It was a little pricey but worth every dime. It was great for s special occasion or just because. Tried the surf and surf and turf. A plus. Also tried the mixed grill as an entree and it did not disappoint. Excellent attention to detail by the wait staff. They definitely added to the experience. Don't miss it

Recommended by local bar maid. Friendly service and great corn bread to start. I had teriyaki steak. Very moist and tasty. Good beet salad as accompaniment. Busy and good atmosphere.

Based on Trip Advisor ratings, I made a last minute reservation at The Ore House only to discover I had the right time but the wrong day. The hostess went to work, found us a way in, and we had a great dinner in a nice town. The restaurant is small, but the staff is professional and the bar is... More

We have eaten here several times in years past and the food was outstanding. However dinner last night wasn't up to par. The filet was a bit tough. The Brussel sprouts were burnt. The cornbread fell apart, couldn't even hold it together to eat it. Way over priced. Wouldn't make a special effort as we have in years past to... More

If you are willing to splurge and looking for a good old western atmosphere this is the place to go. Although the restaurant offers both meat and seafood dishes, I net in with the objective of having a great steak, and that's exactly what I got. Mine as a big 18 ounce rib eye, rare to medium, nice and juicy.... More

Wonderful decor. Most attentive wait staff. He had Rib Eye, I had Petite Filet. Both cooked to perfection!! Nice variety of appetizers, soup, and sides. Go there hungry because you will be full. My cocktail "...Mexico" was so tasty, he had red wine. You will be so happy you chose "ORE HOUSE".

Nice atmosphere, small place, very busy with the tourist crowd. Must have reservation. Nice very small bar. VERY expensive with everything ale-cart.

The Ore house is one of the 3 longest standing restaurants in Durango for good reason, the steak is far above the rest in Durango or any where else. The bar is a great place to get a good cocktail and some food
