Best Rib Eye and Cornbread ever! Good wine selection. Small bar (6 people max) Friendly servers- not sure when it will reopen!? But hope it does !

We love the Ore House! Some how we get lucky almost everytime we go in and get Josh as our server (seriously request him). He knows his food and spirits! I always like to think im going to try something different, sometimes I do, but...i can't deviate from the Surf and Surf and Turf. I always try whatever my husband gets too though. Great restaurant, management, bar, employees and fellow guests all around! P.S. we're the ones ordered the Gin Fizz that one time 😉 P.P.S. BEST CORNBREAD EVERMore

We had a fabulous meal at The Ore House on New Years Eve 2019! The steaks were great (really, excellent). The sides were also great and desert was amazing. They also had a delicious Pierre Moncuit 2016 reserve blanc de blanc that had us asking...“What is this doing in Durango?” Two words - Worth. It.More

Our meal was excellent, staff was amazing but the food was overpriced. I'm glad we tried it because its always nice to see how restaurants pair their foods to get amazing flavors. Its a place to try at least once especially if your not a...local.More

I hadn't been here in years and was very pleased with their updated decor. It used to be dark with dark paneling and now it is light and welcoming. The steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. Completely enjoyable experience!!

This place is over priced for the quality of food. And the guy that waited on us acted like we were bothering him. I guess we didn’t spend enough money so he really didn’t want to wait on us. The only thing we really enjoyed...was the skillet cornbread they serve while we were waiting for our steak. It was delicious but the main meal not so much. And if you go for a birthday celebration expect to show your ID to prove it’s your birthday before they give you a birthday dessert.More

Do not book here with any illusion that high prices equal top cuisine, service, or milieu. After being seated at the bar egress, ingress with lots of activity, (not a good seat), I found it disturbing that they only brought my drink, and after 7.5...minutes when I pointed this out, they acted put out that I would bring this to their attention. You know the type. This is a typical podunk, small town RIPoff. No substance, just illusory pretend high-end with no substance. You creeps offended me and made me long for a real, valuable experience. A Texas Roadhouse would send this s*****le to the showers, Ruth's Crist, Shulas, any good steakhouse shows the temerity of this dump to even pretend to be worth its cost. DO NOT EAT HERE THINKING YOU WILL GET ANY VALUE(UNLESS YOU DON'T VALUE YOUR MONEY)!More

The Ore house was a whole new experience for us. My co-worker and I received gift certificates for Christmas, so we went with our spouses to have dinner. We thought there was no way that we could spend $200 on dinner for 4, we were...definitely wrong. However, it was worth every penny!!! The food was amazing and the staff was just as great!!More

While the food is pricey, you are paying for the overall experience. It's a place that you want to stay, visit, and absorb the overall atmosphere. The food was outstanding. We went with a local and he helped us with what to order. It was...an evening we won't soon forget. If you purchase a coupon book from a local business downtown (we got ours at Urban Market), there are coupons good for this restaurant. We got 20% off our steaks which almost paid for the whole coupon book. Excellent food. Excellent evening.More

I’m sorry to have gotten this so late but the answer is yes. It has an informal feel even though it has white table cloths, I did wear shorts and nobody questioned me for a second! Hope you enjoy yourself

Hi ILoveBourbon! We have both options available on our menu... there are steaks that come with side dishes and there are a la carte steaks as well! We hope to see you while you are here! Sincerely, The Ore House Crew

They still have the birthday discount, ask that you make a reservation and have a valid ID
