I simply cannot understand why everyone raves about this restaurant. I guess Americans have been conditioned to believe that tender and bland (and expensive) is what makes meat good. We have traveled, and continue to travel, around the world, including Argentina, and have eaten wonderful...More

I had been reluctant to go to the Ore house because it is pricey but we went for my husband's birthday and it did not disappoint. It was fabulous. The service is top notch and the steaks can be cut with a fork. So tender...More

This is a resturant that you would go to for special occasions. Rather noisy but good food and service. Not for children, though there were some when I was there

Whenever visiting Durango, the first dinner is at the Ore House. Filet was excellent as well as the NY strip for my grandson.

This little gem is just around the corner from the Hotel Strater. Reservations are recommended but we were able to be seated without a reservation by arriving at 5pm. We had the New York Strip daily special - it did not disappoint!

Second time here and wasn't disappointed. I had the steak and lobster dinner which was prepared perfectly. Excellent wine list with very reasonable prices. Definitely THE place to eat while in Durango!

When wanting a good steak and usually finding none in Farmington, NM, we head up to Durango for a visit to the Ore House. Have never had a bad meal there and the service has always been excellent.

My favorite restaurant in Durango--but then, I do enjoy good steaks and similar, not that that's all they have. If you want an excellent steak or Chateaubriand, cooked exactly the way you want it, great sides, great drinks, and an excellent wine menu, this is...More

No space for a dog indoor or out - it's pretty small but the atmosphere and food is very very worth it.
