Fantastic Grub!

Beautifully prepared beef and vegetables. Great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. We try to eat here every time we visit for work (2-3+ times per year) and are never disappointed. The only issue were the other (drunk) diners at the bar!

We went there on Christmas night. Everything around was either closed or full. They were pretty packed, and lots of people had reservations, still, they worked it out to accommodate us(2 adults, 2 kids). The server was excellent, he even took the time to explain items in the menu that we had no idea what they were(especially deserts), and took... More

My wife and I ate at the Ore House to celebrate our 12th Anniversary, and it served the occasion well. Based on past reviews, we understood the steaks to be large, so we split the 18 oz. Prime Rib Eye and ordered several sides. Absolutely one of the best steaks I've eaten. Great atmosphere, and great service rounded out a... More

We have dined here four times and love the chef's "Pittsburgh Style" preparation of the Prime Ribeye. Paired with their Caymus Cabernet, there is nothing finer! Look forward to returning!

Fun atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. Ordered the surf-n-turf - one of the best meals I have ever experienced. A bit pricey but the family thoroughly enjoyed it. The creme brûlée sampler was fantastic!

I've lived in Durango for a while now and I finally went to the our house. Wow. I can't believe I waited so long. AMAZING. Simply amazing. The dry aged New York was like butter and I didn't know creamed corn could be so good! Very expressive, but if you have the money it's worth it. (Good martinis too)

One of our favorite places in town to eat!!! My favorite dish each time I come back & enjoy is the steak and lobster, the BEST soup ever known to mankind(the homemade caramelized French onion soup w/sourdough croutons & emmental cheese) it hit the spot the day we went when it was cold. Ohhhh and the homemade cornbread that they... More

I'm a vegetarian but found a wonderful meal here. My husband is the cook of the house and can "always do better" but this restaurant provided one of the best steaks he's every had. Old time atmosphere, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us.

My husband and I dropped in for a 'quick bite' before riding The Polar Express. We only had a little more than an hour. The hostess (who was darling) assured us we could order anything on the menu and have plenty of time to enjoy our meal. We did. Here's my suggestion: Ceasar salad. The croutons are warm, crunchy but... More

I am a stranger to Durango and several of the locals recommended the Ore House. It's a small restaurant and it was packed. We didn't have a reservation and we had to wait nearly an hour, but it was worth the wait. My steak was one of the best that I have had in a long time. Others in my... More
