We’ve visited Durango a number of times in the past and had our food itinerary set. Due to COVID restrictions, this had changed in May, 2021. However, we were fortunate in locating College Drive Cafe where we experienced a delicious breakfast and wonderful service. There’s...no doubt we’ll be back to this jewel of a restaurant on future visits. We highly recommend it!More

This was hard to rate based on the COVID environment so maybe our rating would change in the future. Restaurant is doing their best to reduce chances of COVID spread with outdoor seating and mask requirements. Popular place so there are extended wait times. It's...not obvious if there is an option to call and make a reservation as people would show up and get seated. My guess is people show up in person, provide a number, and are called when their table is ready. Be prepared for 45 to 60 minute wait. Once we were seated the food came out within 20 minutes. Food was good overall there but a few people in our 4 person party had cold scrambled eggs and cold side of chorizo. Waitress replaced the chorizo and offered on the eggs as well but the eggs were mostly gone. Would try again in the future if thing return to before COVID conditions.More

We visited during that freak cold front & temps were in the 40's. Yet they insisted they could not close their doors due to Covid! 🤤 Its funny we went to a restaurant for every single meal whilw in Durango and no others had the...doors wide open. Waitress couldnt manage our food order AND take an order for water... sais she wanted to remember our food and not let us get out of hand by asking for water. 😲 Whaaaat? Guess she never heard of pencil & paper. Then later I wanted salsa and got her attention.... she told me "Just a minute, I'm with someone". We were not made to feel welcome. We felt like our presence was a nuisance to them. But we remained polite & marked it up to Coloradian rudeness. Food was ok. Pics are doors wide open....More

The first time we went to College Drive Cafe was on the weekend so we had a 30-40 min. wait but it was worth it. So much so that we went again a couple days later and during the week, there was no wait early...in the morning. The food was unique, fresh and delicious. After ordering food came out quickly. Our waitress, Whitney, was so friendly and helpful. When we return, this is definitely high on our list to revisit. My husband loved the breakfast burrito, the gluten free pancake was delicious and the homemade hot sauce was perfect.More

I wasn't impressed with the food and staff here. The wait was long even though there clearly were empty tables. For the money I'd go somewhere else.More

We are mandated by the state not to let customers congregate in front of the cafe. We have to call each customer when their table is ready. This, along with the other new regulations were abiding by cause our speed of service to slow down....More

Had to review this place because the food was extraordinary. My eggs Benedict were perfect. I’m not a pancake fan, but ate a lot of my husbands huge blueberry loaded pancake. He had sausage, fried eggs, and toast too.

We had a delicious breakfast! I had chorizo scrambler and my husband had the smothered burrito - both very delicious! Loved the home fries and biscuit and jam. Service was excellent! I’d come back here in a heart beat!

This was their first day opening after Covid. We were able to sit outside which was very nice even though it’s doesn’t have great ambience in fact none at all. But the weather was beautiful. I ordered French toast, which II thoroughly enjoyed. My husband...ordered the Florentine omelette, the cheese was not melted but the flavor was good. The biscuits and gravy left much to be desired. Waitress was very friendly.More

Thanks for your understanding! You ate in our parking lot the first day we were open in four and a half months. Sorry the ambiance wasn't up to your standards.

This has been one of our go-to restaurants for breakfast in Durango for many years. The service is friendly and prompt and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. There are some great Benedicts, scrambles and omelettes offered.

Food is excellent. Service attentive and friendly. Breakfast is so good you can expect a wait to get seated. But so worth it. Have only had breakfast but imagine lunch is just as yummy.
