This is an excellent experience, if only because of the taste and style of the food. The tea experience includes as much tea as one can drink and a multi-tier tower of tea sandwiches, scones (with jam and clotted creme), and dessert. Everything is delectable but one wishes for just a few more sandwich options - everything was so tasty,... More

It was a quaint location for a group of young (and seasoned) women to celebrate. A wide and flavorful assortment of iced and hot teas were available. Tiered platters with finger sandwiches, scones, and petit fours were placed in front of us and there was a wide variety of flavored to please every taste. The staff was polite and accommodating.... House of Commons is by far my favorite place for tea in Denver. The location feels like a doll house and the food and tea is authentic and very tasty. You also leave feeling full which is big for me....there is nothing worse than spending $30 on tea and still being hungry. Homemade, quality ingredients along with a very cozy... More

We had a far better experience for tea here a year ago. We went this past week and were met with TERRIBLE service. We saw the waitress for the order, delivery of food and when we were finished. We waited 15 min just to get our bill. We just weren't taken care of in a way that is acceptable for... More

I recently had high tea at The House of Commons with a friend and we had such a lovely time. The high tea itself was just lovely and the service was excellent. We had so much food to eat, that by the time we were finished, we felt so full. The high tea consisted of savory sandwiches, scones, and petits... More

Cozy place. I love visiting English Cafes when I'm overseas, and this place does it justice. Really great scones and tea. Thanks for the good service!

We made reservations for high tea. We've done high tea at a few places around the country. This was probably the best. The teas we had were outstanding. Both selection and quality were superb. The food for the high tea was just outstanding. It's a nice, quaint place and the atmosphere was cozy and refined. It's small, so reservations are... More

My wife is from England, and we were visiting our son for the first time in Denver. He had heard about this English Cafe and thought that we should go there for an afternoon tea. I am so glad that we did! We'd been shopping at REI and were ready for a bite. The tea was excellent, the English sandwiches... More

The House of Commons is a pleasant surprise. A true touch of the United Kingdom in a most unlikely place -- Downtown Denver. Lunch was a hearty squash soup and some excellent bread. The Earl Grey tea was superbly presented and scones with clotted cream and jam finished the meal. Loved every minute here. You will as well.

If you want to ensure you the Perfect time, call ahead and make reservations. That is not necessary though if you are a small group. They are willing to accommodate dietary restrictions with their delicious treats and they do a very good job at that! The variety of teas is a great way to try something new, or visit an... More
