So good I thought of canceling my foodie trip to Mexico! Don't judge this place by the modest building facade the excellent food stands on its own as does the great service. Our group ate during their lunch rush. The two waitresses performed amazingly working together as a team taking care of all the tables efficiently, friendly, accurately and fast.... More

I had Alambres (kind of a build your own taco). It was delicious. They don't have an alcohol license, but that doesn't affect the flavor of the food.. Plain and simple delicious Mexican food.

If you want to eat authentic Mexican food this is the place. I have been going to this place at least once every two weeks (I like it that much) since 2008. I will break down the review so you focus on what might be important to you. About the food: You will find items like sopes and huaraches in... More

This is real and authentic. Everything on the menu is great and the portions are big. Do not be scared off by the outer appearance. While I would probably not be there late when the night club nearby gets going, I go to this place for lunch on a regular basis and drive from downtown to do it. The staff... More

We had queso, tacos, and chips with salsa. Everything was fresh and good, the flavors of the meat, herbs and spices in the tacos were not overwhelmed by too much cheese or sauce. The queso with chili was delicious, and all in all, it was a really great little spot to stop in for a quick, casual dinner. The family... More

My wife found this place on yelp last summer when we were visiting from Chicago. Her mom is from D.F. so she grew up on huaraches and knows a good one when she tastes it. Atmosphere is minimal, with formica tables, and cool old pictures of Mexico. Very friendly service, but limited English...mostly other Mexicans come here.

Holy sweet mother of Jesus this is good. I want to give it 4.5 stars. No, I kind of want to give it 5, but, I want it to simmer a bit in my mind before possibly bumping it. Los Carboncitos is cheap, but it might also be the best authentic Mexican food I've had. I knew it was a... More

Great Mexican food, in Aurora!! Admittedly i've only tried a few Mexican food places in Aurora, mostly because the 1st few I tried were so disappointing, that I simply decided that GREAT Mexican food in Aurora would be unattainable. Well, enter Los Carboncitos to dispel my myth. Went here on a Friday evening. It's in somewhat of an older and... More

Went to Carboncitos on the recommendation of a friend who used to live in Denver. They have different locations -- we went to the one on Pecos St. A very simple looking place. Clientele was a combination of Mexicans and young active-looking people (neighborhood appeared to be the same -- gentrifying). This is a bring-your-own place, and I highly suggest... More
