Went here on a Thursday night and the service was fine. The drinks were pricey and not that strong and or tasty. I ordered an avocado toast that was delicious but basic, my sister ordered the mac and cheese which had no flavor at all....More

We absolutely loved this place! Looking for a quick bite before making a movie, someone recommended Steuben's. We both got burgers, which were fresh, filling, and full of flavor.... but the star of the night was the appetizer! When it came time to order our...More

The atmosphere was good, but the service was a bit slow. I realize they were busy, but still slow. The Ribs were very good, but the Crispy Chicken was just average. The drinks were a bit weak also.

Visited Steuben's (Uptown 17th Avenue) for lunch with a friend on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. It was Wacky Burger Wednesday which was a hand made (not frozen) hamburger with pimento cheese, avocado and arugula and I also had the hand cut french fries. The Wacky...More

I had read that lobster rolls were popular in Denver and it's true. There are many options. Steuben's is one of the original purveyors and they serve delicious lobster rolls. I had takeout, because I was really tired and wanted to eat in my hotel...More

I cannot say enough about the food at Steuben's. It was absolutely amazing. We went there for dinner and went back the next day for brunch. I had the pot roast and it melted in my mouth. For brunch I had bacon and eggs. Their...More

Celebrated our anniversary here this month. Not your typical candlelight meal but super fun. The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken was spicy but really good. The chicken and waffles was a classic and rivaled anything found in the south. We finished off with a little something...More

Denver is a pretty crowded field for breakfast spots, but don't skip this cool spot. If you wanna go all in, try the Traffic Jam - it was delicious (and way too much food.) A pretty popular spot, so get a reservation.

Description
What are your first three food and drink related visits when you head to your hometown? What do you order? Fried Clams from Kelly's? Supreme Sauce from Raynor's? A slice from Joe's? A take out order of a green-chili cheeseburger from The Owl Cafe? Maybe it's that hot dog from Pink's or those sticky ribs from Thelma's. Or do you head home for a bowl of Mom's chicken soup and brisket? We return to these classic spots for the comfort, the subtly unique flavor, the consistency, the familiarity, and the memories of both the food and the experience. Only one place can set the standard for certain foods. Lovers of food have their own "greatest hits collection." We yearn for that blissful moment that uses the powers of food, smell, sight, taste, and memory to take us to a happy place; that after school hangout, the corner deli, the pizza place and sometimes even Mom's kitchen. Steuben's is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940's to the 1960's on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, Proms and Sweet Sixteens and more. In its prime, Steuben's was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene. Steuben's, Denver, is a restaurant that respects the history of its name and the core ingredients of the American Regional classics we have attempted to recreate. These dishes are America's cuisine and American's interpretations of the dishes of our diverse cultural heritage. We have enjoyed the endless debates, opinions, stories, research, consultations and food memories that have led us to the opening version of the Steuben's menu. Eat at Steuben's. Take-Out from Steuben's. Drink at Steuben's. Feel at home, in Denver, at Steuben's.
