Everything on the menu sounded delicious. We were a party of four. All of us shared the four different meals and two of the desserts. All were excellent. The manager, busters, host were very kind and engaging. Our server Natalie was perfect. She was sweet,...she knew her product, she offered suggestions and why she liked them. The restaurant does an excellent job preparing the food and an even better job hiring the staff. Thank you for the fantastic experience. BobbyMore

We had a date lunch. Servers very friendly. The cocktails good. The food even better. Recommend the warm fig beignets with port reduction for dessert. Pair with brut rose.

Service was good and very efficient. House salad was quite salty and very small portion for the cost. Entrees were good and nice presentation. However, the ending to the meal was awful. The blueberry lemon dessert was such a let down! We ate the overpriced...flavorless dessert, but immediately regretted not sending it back. A true pastry chef should’ve never send out something so lackluster.More

We were a party of 2. Freshly showered and dressed nicely😃. Seated quickly at a table for 4. Waitress arrived quickly to take beverage and food order - efficient if not particularly friendly. Bread server offered bread AND butter to the guests to our immediate...right, walked around us and served bread AND butter to guests on left. We flagged bread server who then offered bread but not butter - had to ask for butter. The beverage and food were very good as in the reviews we read when selecting Rioja. We were not offered a dessert menu - the waitress seemed in a hurry to rush us off - perhaps because a table of 4 seating 2 was not monetarily in her best interest. My dinner friend went to restroom prior to leaving. While waiting, a bread server asked her if she would like a roll the restaurant could not sell. Wrong on so many levels, the worst being that she was clearly waiting to go INTO the restroom. Just ugh! Won’t be back and will not recommend to friends visiting Denver.More

This place was an absolute delight!!! We were visiting from Seattle and our local friends suggested this place. Hands down a 5/5 for: ambience, service, food and drinks! :D We ordered 3 appetizers (see pictures below) , 4 mains, a bottle of wine (Muriel Reserva),...cocktails, and dessert (lemon and blueberries). Everything was superb. Huge compliments to the Chef for putting together all these wonderful flavors. I wouldn't change a thing. And the bread basket - wow! Lovely presentation. I had the lavender bread. Loved it! Being of Middle Eastern origins, I highly appreciated these Mediterranean flavors. Well done! If you're looking to have a delicious meal with friends/colleagues/or family, look no further! This is really such a spectacular place, well worth it! Thank you for making this a memorable evening for us.More

The food is precise, flavorful, fresh and tasty. We had the sweetbreads, artichoke and truffle ravioli, octopus and all were fantastic. The food menu has more Italian food influence than Spanish in my opinion. However it does not change the fact that the cuisine is...fantasticMore

Beverages were warm, food was cold, Smokey dining room from kitchen. Was looking forward to dining here, but the food (halibut for main course) was mediocre, in my opinion.

From the fresh baked breads (try the goat cheese biscuit) to the entrees (we had the gnocchi and the fish) to dessert (lemon/blueberry dish), each had amazing taste. The flavors! We kept sharing, “you HAVE to taste this”. The service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Had a great meal and time at Rioja. Good cocktails, and starters of raviolis, mussels, bread. Best entrees were the lamb, Amish chicken, octopus. Service was great. Killer bottle of 2015 Rioja reserva. All in all, one of our best dining experiences in the city.

From start to finish, Rioja delivered on everything you would want from a great meal and an overall dining experience. The service was flawless and the food and wine were perfect--kudos to our server for helping us select a perfect bottle of wine to go...with our meal. Every dish was a standout, but the highlights were the celery soup (which sounds so boring but was incredible) and our main courses--both fish (cod and halibut) prepared very simply but surrounded with flavor and prepared with care. I think this is a must-stop location anytime you are in Denver.More

From ambiance, to service, to FOOD, to clientele, this Larimer Square spot is a "do not miss" when in Denver. I live in Denver and went to Rioja with a friend for dinner before theatre at DCPA (a quick 2 block walk). I will be...back as often as possible. The flavor of the food was exceptional. The bread service is incredible, try the goat cheese biscuits. And the drink menu was perfect. Go here, for a special occasion.. or any day that you need to make special!More

This is a place certainly worthy of more than the 5 Stars which TripAdvisor allows me to give. I visited here for dinner whilst in Denver due to its proximity to Larimer Square. The food was really exceptional I had some pork belly and the...wagyu beef. Both of these were really excellent. Service was really good. Definitely recommended! Visit this place!More

The food was amazing. 10/10. However, i originally reserved for 2 and my friend could not come last minute and the waiter was visibly upset. I heard the hostess try to explain the situation and thankfully I was given another waiter. After eating, I waited...13 minutes for the waiter to come by. Seems like the service does not match the food.More
