We loved this restaurant. Great salads to start things off. One of us had the flank steak...one had a sturgeon entree...one had the vegetarian option. Great selection of wines to choose from. We will return!

Wow, great from the time you enter till you leave, just a nice night out.I had the Pasta special, and my wife had the scallops, both were perfect. Nice wine list, be sure to save room for Choc. Five Ways, great desert.

Reservations required, they are busy, but once you're in, it's worth every penny. The artichoke tortellini is out of this world, all the appetizers are delicious, the bread is amazing, great choices for entree, definitely a good choice for a class meal. The cocktail list is intriguing and they do have a nice wine list.

Rioja is not much to look at from outside but, once in the door, everything is just about perfect. We were seated right at our reservation time, service was attentive and informative and the ambience is not too noisy nor too reserved. But it is the food that takes the prize. The Fresh Bacon (Pork belly with cardamom and pureed,... More

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants (my wife's all time fave), but seems like they've slipped a little. Still very good but they used to be top 10. The food seemed good but not as inventive or "bursting with flavor" as we used to love. We'll go back but as a backup to other high-end choices. Even... More

We had an incredible experience at Rioja. The service was great. The food was even better. The chef's signature stuffed artichoke with pasta was absolutely excellent! The octopus was also incredible with fried lemon rind (an excellent contracting texture / flavor) and an incredibly bold spicy sauce! I was so happy that the chef didn't shy away from the heat.... We ate dinner here with another couple. The food was absolutely amazing. Be prepared to spend about $100 per person for dinner and drinks. While a bit on the expensive side, it is well worth it. We all ordered different entrees and sampled each other's dinner. The wine selection is good and our waiter made a couple of good suggestions.

We ate at this restaurant last Saturday night and it was wonderful. The restaurant is very cozy and the service is good. We shared the Brassica salad (which I have already tried to recreate at home), the Gnocchi (which were amazing) and then each had an entree. I had the chicken which was incredible (but as it is 1/2 a... More

My wife and I stepped inside the Rioja for Brunch on a recent Saturday. We knew nothing about the restaurant except that the menu looked interesting. What a delight. So I'm not sure if the menu changes, but if you are planning an outing soon, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. And believe it or not, I'm going to tell you... More

Very chic and upscale Mediterranean place in the downtown area. Inventive food with great flavors and pretty presentation. Nice service and lovely atmosphere. Was an expected and a pleasant find at the last moment.
