I grew up in Arkansas and Oklahoma and was raised on that style of real smoky BBQ. Lived in Colorado for 30 years, and found it difficult to find quality smoky BBQ. Was pleasantly surprised by this simple small place. When it comes to BBQ, usually "small is beautiful" (to quote the name of a book from the days of my youth). If they get big, they lose control on quality. Chains are disastrous for BBQ. I've only eaten here once, day before yesterday (April 30th, 2021, but can highly recommend it. Plan on going back today. The size of the meat portions on the brisket/pork platter was enormous. The collard greens were good, though not quite like grandmas, My only recommendation would be to increase the size of the sides, for we all need to eat more greens! Food is a time machine. Thanks for the trip back to the daze of my youth in the South.

I think this is the best BBQ I have had in Denver. Stacey and Colleen are the on-site owners and they make you feel valued. The BBQ is always first-rate and with your choice of sauce, everyone can agree it’s the best. Save room for the red velvet cookies (which is hard to do with such large portions!) as they are superb. If you’re looking for atmosphere, this may not be you’re place, but if you want truly good BBQ then you will find it here.

We ate in the restaurant at noon. The dining area was small, but pleasant. Customers ranged from people in business attire, to a group of tradesmen, to a team of Denver firefighters.
The proprietor was very gracious and the barbecue choices were much more extensive than on the restaurant’s website. The menu featured complete meals of various kinds and amounts of barbecue, and the “combo” meals included two choices from a wide range of side dishes, a drink, and a dessert.
Best of all, the barbecue itself was plentiful and really delicious. Each of our party of four had something different, and it all was good.
It appeared that several patrons were repeat customers, and we intend to go again soon.
Pro tip: It’s not obvious from Lowell Blvd., but the main entrance and plenty of parking are on the west (Safeway market) side of the building.

Ordered the burn ends and they did not disappoint. Good selection of sauces. The home-made macaroni and cheese was a miss.
There is plenty of parking.
Friendly owners.
If I had more time in Denver, I would come back to try the brisket and home-made coleslaw.

Great food and big portions for a very reasonable price! From the pulled chicken to the red velvet cookie, you won’t be disappointed. The owners are very friendly and make the experience even better. Definitely will be back in the near future!

I'm not quite sure what they did, but RHog kills the greens! Incredible. BBQ is very good, generous portions, good quality meat. Not smoked enough for my tastes. Great selections of sauces on the side.
and oh my.. Brunswick Stew.. outstanding as well.
I've got to return on my next trip to Denver!

A client of mine chose this place to meet for lunch. I had never heard of it. Pulling up, I was a little nervous to get out of the car. I ordered the pulled pork, coleslaw and mac n cheese. Wow, wow, wow. Truly amazing food. Everything is homemade, love that and I also ordered dessert, a red velvet cookie, it was right out of the oven and was beyond delicious. There is a very nice lady at the counter. Make sure you take the time to try the different sauces!

You can choose to eat in or take it home, but GET THERE early!!!!! They tend to run out of the more popular items (baby backs, custard pie, etc.) Quick served or delivered to your hands, their cuts of meat are excellent, plentiful and tasty! Stew is quite good, too! Pepsi products if you don't want water or?????. If you're running late, call ahead to ensure you get food! I'll be back.

My husband is a Master BBQ judge and so when planning his big 70, BBQ seemed like the meal to serve for our gathering of 15 people.
Ragin' Hog BBQ was especially accommodating and the food was great! Colleen was really helpful in calculating how much we needed and even helped me carry my order to the car.
The party was relatively stress free and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork and the delicious sides.
You won't be disappointed !!

I stopped in here for lunch while in town on business. The burnt ends and brisket were really good the sausage was ok. The Potato salad was fantastic maybe the best I have had in years sooooooo yummy. They had a bunch of bbq sauces to try I loved the sweet. They even had fresh brewed iced tea. Two big thumbs up from me.

I'm always on the lookout for good BBQ, I've been known to travel considerable distances just to try someone else's BBQ. This place happens to be just down the street from my office and a friend invited me to give it a try. Not to sound like a snob but it wasn't bad, wasn't top ten list either. Nice clean store, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Looking for championship BBQ? This isn't the place. Looking for a good meal in a nice location? Look no more. I'll try again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had the ribs and a side of macaroni and cheese. The ribs were excellent, some of the best I’ve had in the Denver area. The spicy bbq sauce was also top notch! If I’m in the area I would not hesitate to stop here again.
