We ate at Marlowe's twice during our trip. Once at lunch and again at happy hour. The food is decent. Nothing special, but not bad either. The prices are reasonable, but it's the location that worked best for us. It is centrally located, so very convenient. They had good prices on draft beer at lunch and happy hour.

I use to frequent Marlowe's in the 80's. It was always was a great place for an after work drink or lunch. Back then it was "the in place". I was back in Denver for meetings and I went to Marlowe's for lunch. Wow it was excellent. I had their version of a taco and they were outstanding. It wasn't... More

Arrived after a very very long day of travel, tired, hungry and extremely thirsty! Walked up to 16th Ave (St?) with some co-workers and this place looks so inviting, we stopped and got a table outside. Great service but...the Sangria was warm, served in a martini glass? Huh? Yes, a martini glass, and they were out of the one thing... More

Marlowe's is in the middle of downtown. There is seating outside, inside near large open window's or inside seating. Great menu with fantastic appetizers, drinks and meals. The wait staff was very attentative and kind.

Luncheon was okay, we opted for a salad. The waitress tried to sell, first the optional avocado for the salad, a small slice for $ 1.00 she was also trying to push the drinks. The restaurant looks like a respectable place. The receptionist was awful.

For a Sunday lunch, this is an ok place! We were seated outside, as requested, and the staff were quite attentive. We had a Bloody Mary as starter, and it was as it should be. The Cobb salad was quite regular, nothing more, however the burrito was actually fantastic! Didn't leave with a "wow" feeling, but this is a place... More

First off, the jack hammer pounding the hell out of the pavement next to our window seat wasn't that great and the dudes next to us were pretty rude. The server was great, however, she suffered from hyperbole...everything was fantastic and her favorite. Problem right there...never have more than one or two things that you think are extremely delicious. My... More

Nice restaurant right on 16th street. Great outdoor seating when it's not raining. They offer good happy hour deals. Food was well prepared and served timely.

I recently visited Denver and had the opportunity to eat at Marlowes three times. During each visit the drinks, food, and service was outstanding. I would highly recommend the ribeye steak or jambalaya.

Description
Marlowe's echoes with the history and charm of Denver and the 16th Street Mall. Since opening our doors on the ground floor of the Historic Kittredge Building in 1982, Marlowe's witnessed downtown's steady growth from parking lots to skyscrapers. Our huge, imported sliding windows open to the 16th Street Mall and afford a wonderful opportunity for guests to watch downtown life glide past, while our hand-crafted Vermont cherry wood bars, vaulted ceilings and black-and-white tile floors are just a taste of our unique architectural style. Marlowe's serves lunch from 11am until 4pm every day of the week. We serve dinner from 4:30pm until 10pm Sunday-Thursday, and from 4:30pm until 11pm Friday and Saturday. You can join us for our delicious (and locally-sourced) brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am and going until 4pm. We have a late night menu, consisting of just our appetizers, every night for an hour after we stop serving our full menu. Marlowe's also has sizeable wine, cocktail and beer lists. We offer over 21 draughts, more than half from local breweries. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3pm until 7pm and from 10pm until close. Since Marlowe's grand opening more than three decades ago, we have been one of Denver's most popular spots for lunch, after-work cocktails and dinner. We continue to be committed to our community and pride ourselves on being the oldest locally owned and operated restaurant on the 16th Street Mall. We place strong emphasis on locally sourced products and love being a staple of the Downtown Denver scene!
