Very good food. I would come back.French fries were hot but I would skip them next time. Pastrami my husband enjoyed. The corned beef was good. I like mild corned beef and lean. The bread was good. I think it would be a great meal...for a picnic at the park that is close by. Skip the Russian dressing. The mustard is better.More

l used to love this place but the last time l was there- 2019- it was filthy. Dead flies lined the windowsills, the tables were not cleaned off- that was my last time there, and l left before ordering. Prior to that, loved the pattymelt...and just about everything else, but filthy dining doesn't cut it, no matter how good the food used to be.More

The pictures posted are not exaggerated, put a feed bag on. We have been loyal customers here for decades, and the new owners continue to serve up overstuffed plates of delish.

WOW! First, you should know that I was born and raised in Queens NY. I also lived in South Jersey for 16 years, so I have a pretty good idea of what authentic NY deli food is like. The NY Deli News is the REAL...deal. Potato knishes (square, of course), garlic pickles, pastrami, egg salad ...OMG. The sandwiches are the kind you see only on TV commercials, piled so high that there's no way you can get it in your mouth. If you love great deli, you gotta try this place/More

My wife and I have been going to the NYDN for decades, but just now thought to write a review. Early in my career I lived in and worked in NYC, plus I grew up in Chicago, so I'm certainly familiar w classic deli food....We live about 30 min from NYDN so we only go occasionally, but when we do, we're generally pleased. The service (this time and most times) is very quick w a server approaching the table within minutes of us arriving. Getting seated quickly has rarely been an issue, and if there is a wait, it's only 10 - 15 min tops. Typically we'll order a bowl of matzo ball soup and split a corned beef sandwich (light rye, hot vs cold). Over the years we've basically been pleased w both the portions and the quality of the food. Sometimes the soup is 'hit n miss' if you will in that it either is a bit too salty, a bit too bland or comes to the table lukewarm. The latter is an easy fix...the server just returns w a really hot bowl of soup! Sometimes the corned beef is a little too fatty or tough, but usually it is cut fairly thick and is tender. In our recent visit both the soup and the sammie were spot on...served hot and seasoned (soupwise) just about right...we sprinkled a bit of salt on it. The menu can be a bit overwhelming in that it offers LOTS of sandwich combos, plus other items like stuffed cabbage, brisket etc, but there is no doubt you'll find something you like. It has a really nice deli case, too, so you can walk out w stuff to take home. THere are 3 pretty classic delis in Denver: the Bagel Deli, NYDN and Zaidy's...which we've been going to for 20+ years. All are pretty close to the real NYC and CHicago deal. But go see for yourself. We'll be back to all 3...More

We brought a large group for lunch in November. Joseph was very helpful and professional in setting up our party. Large groups can be challenging, but you guys did a spectacular job and the food was great. Everyone was pleased. Thanks for the hospitality.

The 5 star meals have been wonderful. I guess the trick is to come slightly before dinner hour or for lunch. I have also had some 1 star meals with terrible service. He 1 star meals have always been when having dinner after around 7pm.

It's been a while, but this place is just as I remembered. The sandwich was piled high with roast beef. The waitress was excellent. She went out of her way to make sure the item my daughter ordered did not have any soy product in it....We got there before the 5p.m. rush so the place was not packed. This is our go to every time we come to Colorado, we will keep coming back. Prices are a little steep, decor could be updated, but it felt like we never left.More

No reservations needed but we can if you would like. We usually can seat you upon arrival. Wait times have not exceeded 10 minutes. If it is a large party give us a call to reserve.
