The food at this restaurant was very good. The margaritas were good as well. I ordered the Signature Chili Margarita & it was a little pricey ($14). It wasn't a huge drink either. The flavors in the dishes we ordered were very good. The portions were small, but were a good size. I ate my entire meal, which I normally don't do because of the portion size. There were 3 salsas brought with the chips, but they were very small portions. We also ordered guacamole that was good, but also a small portion. We ordered the Hobelix Crepes for dessert (split 3 ways), and it was ok.

Cool nice little spot, family restaurant. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I had their “Mole Verde” it was a small portion, nice presentation and delicious! I haven’t tried a mole verde as delicious and AUTHENTIC as the one in this location since my grandma cooked it for me when I was a kid. Sounds silly but the food in this place brought the good memories from my childhood, I will definitely come back to try more of their menu. I really recommend this place.

Chili Verde's Mole Poblano rivals the best Mole Poblano I have eaten in Puebla, Mexico where the dish originated. It is hands down, the best you can get in Denver. We're huge fans of Chili Verde and have been there many times and have ordered everything on their menu. It is all carefully crafted and beautifully presented.

With the reviews and the raving about this place and us heading to the airport we had time to stop in. $6 for chips and salsa in 3 different bowls. "This is hot" was a bowl of grease with chili powder flaked in. After mixing all 3 together they had a decent taste. I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas, my son the smothered burrito. This was the most bland, without taste, blah food I have ever had at a "Mexican" place. The plate had green rice, it was hot (temperature) but like eating porridge. The beans were strained to remove the legumes I do believe. As they were pasty. The chicken was so blah I was wishing for salt or sawdust to freshen it up. Coming from Texas and hearing hot, you take a taste and have the water ready. Here I could have drank all the hot items with a straw. Best part of the meal were definitely the chips from the $6 chips and salsa and the water that the snooty waiter did keep full. Would I eat here again? Naw. The windows across the street say menudo todos Los dias, next time I will eat there! Most of my reviews are upbeat, happy. And never middle of the road, but the prices are ok I guess. $27. For 2 for lunch. My wife was correct! Mexican food in Colorado was my first mistake!

A good, REAL, Mexican restaurant, in my opinion has to have Chile En Nogada and Mole. This rest. has both dishes and of course we try them both. Chile en nogada is chile stuff with Meat with a sauce of almonds and "Granada" fruit. Mole is a complex sauce with an acquired taste. Both of them were VERY good and TASTY. Service was awesome and those Margaritas are dangerous (in the good sense). Good Job.

The food here was really delicious, starting with the chips, salsa, and bean dip. It was so good we went twice on our short visit to Denver. I asked what the best dish was and was told mole verde. The recommendation was spot on. I had mole poblano the second time, which was almost as good.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant that focuses on quality, not quantity. Unique dishes and flavors. There is an outdoor patio and parking behind the restaurant. If you are tired of the giant cheese-covered Mexican food that is so common give Chili Verde a try. Open for lunch and dinner.

This place has fantastic fresh authentic food from Puebla, Mexico which is where the family owned business is from. We had the enchilada Souza that came with a cilantro rice and beans, Tinga taco and the chips/salsa and green chili. We had the coin margarita and the coconut margarita. Everything had wonderful flavor and was so tasty. The vibe here was cool and they also had a great outdoor patio with nice evening lighting. We will definitely be back and recommend this place.

A unique Mexican menu with lots of homemade recipes. We has Street Tacos with chicken that were excellent. A bit too spicy for our 10-year-old but great for the adults. I had a specialty of chicken enchiladas in mole. Delicious. The chocolate was subtle but there. I had two small enchiladas with a delicious cilantro rice. I could have eaten more. My adult son had the unique specialty poblano pepper stuffed with all kinds of stuff. Again, a small portion and he found the dish a bit too sweet. We also has the churros for dessert and the flan. We found the churros a bit overcooked but warm and still delicious. The caramel flan was also very custardy and delicious. All in all, yes, we would return. It was a very refreshing menu that was unique and different from most Mexican restaurants. We love supporting local businesses and we hope you will support this one. It is very near Mile Hugh stadium and the Meow Wolf experience.

Excellent service and superior food. Puebla influenced cuisine, amazing salsas. The mole itself is worth the trip.

Staying at home during the COVID19 crisis, we we’ve been very happy with Chile Verde’s delivery service. Particularly like the beet salad and mole poblano.

White table cloths and orchids on your plate set this Mexican restaurant on Federal apart from the rest. The Skinny Margarita's were delicious with muddled cucumber. The ceviche, tingas... all was delicious!
