It seems like this place is a bit of a Denver icon, but I can't really figure out why. The food is decent, the green chili is actually pretty good but not spectacular. I do like the crisp chili relleno a lot, but it doesn't like me quite as much!! Overall fun place with decent food.

My neighbors love this place. They love the green chili, the chili rellenos, and the margaritas. I however, like to identify the food I'm eating instead of having everything buried under sauce. The place is a dive, and those who love it will be glad if you stay away. If you go, you can have my spot!

I am a Denver native and have sampled every Green Chili in the state. Colorado is known for our Mexican food being served with a spicy sauce usually made with a pork base called Green Chili and I live on it. Brewery Bar has the #1 chili in the state, bar none. The menu has a popular combo plate called... More

The Brewery Bar II was my first hole in the wall Mexican restaurant I visited when I moved to Denver in 1994. I probably upped the rating a little because I like hole in the wall Mexican joints. Their claim to fame is their green chile stew. If you like it hot this is the place for you. I like... More

Looks can be deceiving as this hole-in-the-wall serves some of the best authentic Mexican food around! Great food, super service & fairly priced. Highly recommend!

I started going here when I lived in Denver. Have been going since 1978. Now, it is a HAVE TO visit when I return to Denver. I always order the smother chili relleno and a cup of half and half chili. I could eat it all at one time. These days, though, it is a good meal plus 2 more... More

They have been serving Colorado-style Mexican food for a long time. Be sure to try their green chili. Watch for specials. A local favorite.

whenever I visit my sister in Denver a stop at Brewery Bar II is a MUST stop. Now living in the eastern US you just can't fine great (or even so so) the Green Chile. I always get the 1/2 and 1/2 - oh so good - hey I recommend that they offer mail order service - I'd be a... More

Stopped in with the GF today before doing some antiquing on Broadway. Had the ground beef and bean burrito smother with green chili. I ordered the half mild half hot and was glad I didn't go full hot. We sat at the bar since it was crowded and the service and food were both excellent.

Mexican food at the Brewery Bar II is more than just delicious. It's an entire experience of comfort, flavor and fun. Even on your first visit you'll feel like family. Green chile is a staple in Colorado and the Brew Bar's is my favorite. With meaty and large braised pork morsels and a depth of flavor for the ages, it... More
