This is a little place off the beaten path. Kinda dive bar feel without the dive bar people. Not a place I would have generally found on my own, but we met friends there. The people there are nice and the food is average. The green chili was good but definitely not the best I've had. Our service was good.... More

Been there several times. Enjoy the dive bar atmosphere and Mex food. Not the best Mexican food by any means but still very tasty with large portions. Definitely never had this type of food in Mexico but doesn't stop it from being good. When I take friends from Mexico there they have never even heard of green chile. But they... More

This is a great little dive-bar/café where the classic pork green chile made with chiles from one source in Hatch, New Mexico (legend has it) is excellent. Order the hot (they offer hot, mild and mixed). The deep fried won ton skin chile rellenos are massive and delicious, but if smothered in the hot chile, keep a cold beer close... More

The last 4 times that I have visited the Brewery Bar locations there are two things in common. The food quality is awful, and they have service to match. I could not believe how dirty the restaurant and bathrooms were on my last visit. We had to get our own water and silverware. The green chili had no depth of... More

Had lunch at this place recently and found it to be ok not great and frankly over-rated. Some old Denverites love this place as an icon of mex food with great green chili. I am not one of those though. I had a Mexican hamburger with green chili. The green chili, to me, was just ok. There is better in... More

It seems like this place is a bit of a Denver icon, but I can't really figure out why. The food is decent, the green chili is actually pretty good but not spectacular. I do like the crisp chili relleno a lot, but it doesn't like me quite as much!! Overall fun place with decent food.

My neighbors love this place. They love the green chili, the chili rellenos, and the margaritas. I however, like to identify the food I'm eating instead of having everything buried under sauce. The place is a dive, and those who love it will be glad if you stay away. If you go, you can have my spot!

I am a Denver native and have sampled every Green Chili in the state. Colorado is known for our Mexican food being served with a spicy sauce usually made with a pork base called Green Chili and I live on it. Brewery Bar has the #1 chili in the state, bar none. The menu has a popular combo plate called... More

The Brewery Bar II was my first hole in the wall Mexican restaurant I visited when I moved to Denver in 1994. I probably upped the rating a little because I like hole in the wall Mexican joints. Their claim to fame is their green chile stew. If you like it hot this is the place for you. I like... More

Looks can be deceiving as this hole-in-the-wall serves some of the best authentic Mexican food around! Great food, super service & fairly priced. Highly recommend!
