Really good Chinese restaurant that delivers

Ordered delivery last week. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We placed an order for the two of us. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We had plenty enough for leftovers for two additional meals. I ordered the pad Thai and my husband ordered a beef dish. Both were made with the freshest ingredients. Both dishes were very generous in size. Both dishes were hot temperature-wise. We also ordered pan fried potstickers and two different soups. Everything we ordered was perfect. And, they even threw in a couple free egg rolls. Next time we order, we will do one soup and one entree. They quoted a delivery for within 45 minutes and it arrived within 20.

Great Take out Chinese Food

We ordered take out from Sweet Rice for the first time last night based upon reviews on a neighborhood website, and to support our local small restaurants. It is take out only, no seating. We ordered coconut shrimp for an appetizer, chicken with black bean sauce (based on a recommendation from a neighbor) and Mongolian beef. The shrimp were large and very tasty. Both the chicken and beef were wonderful, and the sauces on both were excellent. The vegetables in the chicken were large and crunchy, and we loved the onions (both green and white) in the beef! We also got two egg rolls, even though we didn’t order them. We had the leftovers for lunch - there’s something about Chinese leftovers - yum! The menu is quite extensive, and there are some dishes that we haven’t seen before that we would like to try. We will definitely be ordering from there again.

Wonderful take-out

Because of changes in the strip mall when Sweet Rice is located, there were rumors that it had closed. I stopped by today and found it VERY OPEN! Got dinner to-go, knowing it will do me for two meals! I love this spot

I don't usually write these reviews, but this food was some of the worst Asian food I've had and I think people need to know that. I ordered shrimp tempura, which was just breaded fried shrimp similar to what you'd get in the freezer section at the grocery store-- just awful. They didn't even use tempura batter! The curry was not good either-- it smelled and tasted bad. The Vietnamese spring roll was more cabbage than anything. I'd had far better at other places around town that also deliver, and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Shocked this place has so little reviews; best take out Chinese in Denver

Sweet Rice Cafe is obviously a hidden secret. Maybe it needs to stay that way. This food is consistently some of the best take out Chinese food in town. Could you find a better, fancier sit down location somewhere? Probably. They offer no seating here. This is strictly a take out or delivery kind of place. But when I'm craving some good Chinese food, this is who I call. My favorites include the ginger chicken, panang curry with chicken or shrimp, walnut prawns, shiracha chicken if you like spicy, egg foo young with beef, or the sesame chicken. The spring rolls with peanut sauce are delish. The crab cheese wontons are different (they put veggies in them), but good. And the fried pork dumplings are delish as well. They also have good egg drop soup and decent egg rolls (usually free with a large order).

We were excited to find a Chinese restaurant so close to our new house. We were sorely disappointed. I don't think the crab Rangoon actually had any crab. It was however full of old carrot and tasted like moldy sweat socks. The beef had so much salt that it left a bad aftertaste in my mouth for the next two days. There are plenty of places in Denver to have tasty Asian cuisine. This is definitely not one of them.

Great Take Out or Delivery

I love this place. I lived on the west side of Denver for years, and there really was no good chinese or chinese delivery in my hood. But now that I live in Park Hill I am happy to have Sweet Rice Cafe nearby for take out or delivery anytime I'm craving good chinese food. They have amazing food. Its always hot and fresh. The portions are generous. And without fail I've been given something extra every time I've gone (a cup of soup, egg rolls). They have great customer service, great food, and a huge menu to choose from. Some of my favorite dishes include: hot and sour soup pot stickers crispy vegetable egg rolls Siracha Beef Sesame chicken Beef egg foo young Pineapple Curry Fried Rice Combination Fried Rice Honey Prawns wiht Walnuts
