There are a couple of really good breakfast places downtown including the Rialto Cafe and Denver Diner, but I go to this one the most. The food is so good, and I always get enough to eat here. I can get anything I want, and even though they are always busy, they get us in and provide great service. The... More

Both times we went here there was a wait. That is a 'good' thing in my book. The portions are HUGE and the food is very good. You won't leave hungry. Denver takes it's burritos seriously and Sam's does them pretty well. For a place that has such big volume, they keep it real. Friendly waitstaff. They messed up my... More

If you want a quiet breakfast - stay away! Sam's 3 is a busy, interesting, unique staple in Downtown Denver - a must do! I have eaten there 2 dozen times over the years and have never been disappointed. Expect a line, unless you don't mind sitting at the counter...

Went after Bronco's game and was not disappointed. Had the 3 combo Mexican Platter and there was so much food that it came on 2 plates. the cost was more than reasonable and the service is excellent, refilling your soda and checking on the meal quality at the correct times. Had tamales, enchildada, and taco along with the rice and... More

This is a great place for brunch in Denver. The food is delicious and the service decent. Only down side is that it is almost always packed...which is a good sign but pretty annoying. Other than that, definitely one of the best places to have brunch. Breakfast burritos are my favorite!

Really good food. They seem to typically have a short wait but it is totally worth it. The breakfast is outstanding and reasonably priced.

We went to Sam's after getting into Denver on the red eye. We were searching for some comfort food and we wanted to have breakfast. I read some good reviews about Sam's so we decided to go there. When we first arrived we noticed that it was a hustling and bustling place even though it was a Thursday morning. The... More

I have been dealing with food allergies for a few months now. I can't eat gluten, eggs, or dairy. This means that eating breakfast out is not as enjoyable as it once was. Today, we went to Sam's and I expected to be stuck eating hash browns and bacon....my usual food allergy breakfast out fare. However, I was pleasantly surprised... More

Had breakfast at Sam's #3 last Thursday in Denver and man, was that the perfect way to start my day! A short walk from the Marriott Renaissance on 17th and Champa, i walked into a packed house on a Thursday morning and was amazed by the crowd eating breakfast at 9am. The menu was huge and had a little bit... More

We stayed across the street at the Curtis and we delighted when we found out that a restaurant featured on Diner's Drive Ins and Dives was so close. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Definitely check this one out!

Description
Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.
