We happened to come upon Sam's No. 3 after the Winter Light Parade in downtown Denver. This must be a very popular place as our wait time was over half an hour. Once seated though, the server was prompt to take our drink and dinner order. The food was plentiful and delicious. The service great...what more can you ask for... More

Every time we spend the night in Denver we make it a point to eat breakfast at Sam's No. 3. There is always a long wait to get a table but once you get inside you realize why. The food is great, the portions are huge and the service is fantastic. Don't let the lines scare you and drive you... More

The menu has absolutely everything you would expect, from eggs Benedict to steak and eggs etc. our waiter was informative, witty and a bit cocky in a charming way. If you are looking for classic diner fair at a reasonable this is the plac for you,

This restaurant was just a short walk from my hotel and they recommended I try the place. This location was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Very cool. They have a classic diner menu, big with lots of options. You can get breakfast all day here. I was seated right away and ordered the Huevos Rancheros with a side of sausage... More

This place has lots of atmosphere and personality as well as great food and great service. All for a very reasonable price as well. We ate at about half seven in the morning on a Sunday and the place was busy but walked past again at about half ten and there were people queuing outside on the pavement waiting for... More

The hotel recommended this place. The high-end steak houses couldn't accommodate our group of 6 until too late in the evening, so we stopped here. Yeah, it's a diner. Not fine dining. But the food was excellent, the servings more than ample, and the service was great. I had a 12 oz Ribeye steak with soup, onion rings, and fruit... More

Went for breakfast with my son and we had a great time and the food was delicious. We are actually able to have a mimosa and bloody Mary's in the morning very important after a Broncos game. The portions were very big I had the traditional bacon and eggs and I get plenty of bacon my son has a huge... More

Description
Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.
